      Wisdom is in the heart. When we are committed to our heart we committed to our light and love.

      The wisdom comes from god. It’s transmitted through adya’s talents.. he certainly is a precise and meticulous speaker, while remaining simple enough to easily follow. Gods wisdom can come through to any of us, and it is completely different when it comes straight through you from God, rather than just hearing words about it from one of his bodies. Adya is trying to point you toward where god will come through to you for yourself. It’s the same wise god intelligence coming through him that wants to say hi directly to you, but you have to let god in. It grants wisdom that makes things so clear and obvious that it’s beyond doubt.

      He's simple and direct without being simplistic. No trick answers or 'Zen talk' with him. He's done a lot to demystify what enlightenment is and strip it from the traditional gobblegook.

    Great help to hear this. I suddenly fell into "hell" after having a huge ecstatic awakening. I had no idea what had happened in the first place and was unable to function for several months. But it was essential in taking me into the depths of being and having to function without my usual operates. I had no teacher or teaching and thirty years later these experiences are being explained so beautiful by Adyashanti. xx

      does it naturally go away (the dark night phase) or did you have to 'do' something?

    • @tiborpiri
      @tiborpiri Před 4 lety +4

      @@mothmos For me full acceptance, allowing it to be as it is helped - and helping whenever something arises. The 'do' part is recognizing what is, recognizing if there is a resistance (or sometimes fear), allowing the resistance (fear) and when any side feeling or reaction dissolves to allowing, be and observ the main experience. Acceptance and allowing is not a 'doing' but a giving up of the resistance and/or fighting, urge and action of running away. These are not 'doing' either, but I do not have words to describe :)
      The closest concept is to 'be' mindful of what is happening.

    I have been enduring a Dark Night for 16 friggin years. It was triggered in 2006 by a massive breakdown on psychedelics and then a year later I got hooked on Valium and everything got gummed up in the works. Yet even so. The drug use has been intermittent, and here in 2022 I am still suffering from existential anguish. A deep, dark, black ball of fear in the gut. A subtle drain on all my energy that keeps me locked up in a small life in a bundle of fear. And I have gotten SO MUCH help. Doctors, healers, teachers, meditation, neurofeedback, detox, IV therapy. Everything under the sun.
    I have had kundalini syndrome for 14 years and a crazy whirl of energy this year forcing its way out of my head periodically. Something big has got to be going on in my subtle energy system/unconscious mind that's heading for a shift in my conscious mind.
    So i just keep going and waiting for something to budge. But we'll see, won't we?

    Dark night of the will. I first experienced this in my 20's and certainly didnt recognize it that way! Here I am 40 years later and realize that life has again and again presented me with the same type of situation and I have always taken it as a put down of myself, a self denigration, low self esteem etc. This talk has given me much to think about and ponder... I wish he went on to talk about how to reframe and how to surrender...

    Hello Jouseph, thank you so much for sharing this Adya talk. I only found him recently and I love how he is able to articulate spiritual and subtle realities. Thanks beautiful souls for sharing your dark night experience in the comments, it has been very similar for me, where I didn't have a teacher as my will and ego began to dissolve along with the rest of my life. I like what he says about how difficult this can be and that it is relative to your level of resistance. As Eckhart says 'resist nothing'. Like many here, 10 years later and I'm finally understanding what has happened. Thank you Adyashanti and so much love to all xx

    And what about those who are really enlightened, way beyond awakening, who become completely detached from life, apart, with a sense of constant well-being in a transcendent state entrenched in emptiness, being nothing, and then find life is meaningless and pointless even though you have a constant sense of infinitude and the mind is silent; the Self is always there, but there is the paradox at the other end of the pole as the lost personality which has lost its meaning and becomes rootless and depressed, even though your meditation remains amazing. And yet you are lifeless.

    • @ahrimanic7
      @ahrimanic7 Před 9 lety +13

      Awakening is not always love and light and eternal bliss. One can be condemned to living as a ghost trapped in a body that forgot to die when the personality itself made the transition, albeit prematurely. It is a living death, not so tragic but certainly quite aimless. The cosmic carrot has been caught. Without this hidden, transcendent goal, life becomes quite empty indeed. Be careful what you wish for.

      Valerie Hiniker awakening is horrifying... everything you feel or EVER felt was real isn't...all of your humanity dies life becomes death and death becomes life... you become and nobody (detached from body because you know it is a corpse) and a nothing (you are no longer a thing or a person just formlessness) and you become an embodiment of eternity(think about what you were before you were born) and death and you can't go back. This is freedom liberation enlightenment. I know because I have consciously under gone the process. In fact it is what is happening to all of us all the time but the enlightened ones witness it with eyes wide open no distractions. It's an immense act of bravery and the only human dignity to be found in the unalterable human condition. Also you don't have to wish for it.... it is an inescapable given. YOU ARE IN IT AS WE SPEAK... SEE IT OR BE BLIND IS THE ONLY FREE WILL WE HAVE. Do you get it my fellow soul?

    • @sitarainbow8837
      @sitarainbow8837 Před 6 lety +6

      Believing there's some sort of endpoint - being awakened or enlightened - may play a part. There are no endings or beginnings in eternity/infinity, just things cycling, hopefully on a spiral stairway into higher consciousness, higher frequency. We ascend or descend it based on our free-will choices.
      That being the case, there are no "enlightened" ones, no "awakened" ones, just eternal, infinite NowHere moments which most of us do not fully occupy. To the extent we're in the mind, we're either off into the future or back in the past - not fully Present. Many mistake the mind as the tool for enlightenment, but it's the wrong tool for the job. Instead, we discover it's Heart, the portal into the nothing that is pregnant with All That Is.
      The hardest thing is to turn the reins over to Heart, to ignore mind most of the time. Words can't contain or convey any of this, just present its shadows & pointers to it. We learn to listen - & speak - via Heart, which amounts to letting Heart speak & run the show that is our lifetime.
      Many make it to the nexus of That, but don't cross into it due to their reliance on the mind, their need to understand what's going on. We can "understand" from this or that perspective, but in 3D it's all relative, so nothing is solid, equally applicable to all.
      ~♥~
      PS The only thing available (to the mind) is *relative truth.* This journal goes into that - medium.com/@deepthink8/what-is-truth-51228812e7cb

    • @Facetsofbeing
      @Facetsofbeing Před 4 lety +3

      If we are suffering alot from what we 'discovered', there is little doubt the conceptual mind is busy making judgements.
      All of that is the conceptual mind commenting.
      The nature of reality itself is neither good nor bad, at the deepest level.
      Regarding the role of the conceptual mind I agree with much of what Sita Rainbow above said.
      ESPECIALLY that the conceptual mind is not what experiences realisation. It is basic awareness itself that experiences reality directly.
      Then the conceptual mind comes in with all its interpretations. These interpretations can be quite specific to the individual. And can interpret things as good or bad with equal arbitrariness.
