- A very funny scene from the Everybody Loves Raymond episode,"The Canister". One of the rare moments where Frank acts human. Definitely one of my favorite moments from the show. Capital acting by Peter Boyle.

"I didn't want that ta happen ta you." "You're like my daughter."💗🌹
"And she was gonna yell at me like that later anyway. I ate the back side of the ham." 😂🤣
@@TheFanboy19FRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frank is sweet inside. He defended Debra multiple times from Marie. I remembered the screaming, 'because being rude is the only way to get through to her(Marie). I USED TO BE A GENTLEMAN!!!!!'
Yeah that line is Hella funny lol. Yes he defended and protected Debra alot of times and the one when he defended her when the old men were hitting on her and gawking at her when she was working at the lodge, and Frank got upset cuz she was like a daughter to him. Loved their relationship
I remember that that was the best lol
And yet they have sex once a week! 😂😂😂
Huilai Tian Frank is the best! Perfect timing!
She was gonna yell at me anyway,I ate the back side of that ham,😂
Frank is the only one in the Barone family that isn’t afraid of Marie.
“Give your heart to God ‘cause your ass is Marie’s” 😂😂😂
😂
That line is so "Frank Barone" that it sounds as if it was written by someone doing a parody of this show. People would hear this line and tell the writer "they should have hired you to write for that show. That really sounds like something Frank Barone would say!"
🤣🤣💀
There will never be another Peter Boyle. RIP you are missed greatly.
Yeah, he was great. One of the best characters on the show. One of my favorite scenes in the show that I can remember is when he breaks Marie's glasses when she says she doesn't think he actually loves her. Still sticks in my head whenever I think about his character.
R.I.P Doris Roberts
Frank: "🤚 Let it go."
MAN!!! It was like he took a bullet for Debra.
A MAJOR BULLET!
@@alexanderpytko5394
He was gonna yelled at anyways. He ate the back side of dat ham!
@@irvinmorales1409 FRAAAAAANK!!!
You can tell it meant a lot to Debra Frank telling her she's like he's daughter 🤗
I actually always liked Frank and Debra's relationship. :)
"You are like a daughter to me." This just melts my heart
Also the part where she helps the lounge and the rest of the guys are ogling her and making comments. Frank tells them off because of how he's sick of hearing it. Again because Debra is like a daughter to him.
@@kankan2645 I agree!
She is absolutely repulsed by Frank but knows if she needs someone to talk to Debra can turn to him. He will always defend her
But Debra is ingrateful and mean, she said "I can't believe I'm having a good time with you".Such a bitch
“She’s been going off on that thing like it’s King Tut’s golden undies!”
Gotta love Frank!! 😂😂😂
RIP Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts!
Say what you want about Frank, But he's a good father in law
Barely!
In most marriages, father in laws are usually never a problem. However, mother in laws .......
Frank lied about hiding the canister to protect Debra. But knowing him, he probably would've done that for real just to mess with Marie xD
Probably why she believed it
Probably...
Actually I hear that in real life Frank was very sweet inside. Ray Romano said that he often gave him advice.
That’s why she believed it
@@carolinewilson8048 right but we're talking about the character of frank not his actor Marie and frank weren't married in real life and neither were ray and Debra Debra wasn't anything like her character either off camera but Debra character is pushy and a house wife
Debra is the person Franks gets along with best, mainly because he understands her attitude towards Marie.
For the most part, Robert and Frank treat Debra with kindness.
I love Debra's relationship with Frank and Robert.
It's a breath of fresh air from Ray and Marie always double teaming her lol
@@mimikinmiracle83 yh definetely Robert and Frank were my favourite characters on the show
They were the only two people other than Ray who could appreciate what Marie kept putting her through!
@@tg92277 still even though Ray knew how overbearing and psychotic Marie can be someway somehow he still took her side instead of his wife.
@@thatguy597Ray couldn't stick up for Debra.
Frank cares, he's honest. He can be blunt with you, but has your back
“She was going to yell at me like that anyway. I ate the backside of the ham.” 😏
“FRAAAAAANK!” 😡
😆
🤣🤣🤣
"I don't know, I didn't want that to happen to you... you're like my daughter." -Frank Burone (Peter Boyle)
He should of not only gotten an Emmy for his role as Frank on the show, but this line alone deserves an award. RIP PETER BOYLE 1935-2006
Mon Star right breaking the cycle
It’s Barone
@Mon Star beautifully said. He never wanted to be his father even though he was strict on them, he never laid a hand on them. I felt like he was making them stronger and that is why he was hard on his sons. He felt like they were insecure at time and he would give them pep talks. I don't like people say he was rude and mean. To me he wasn't like that at all. It was tough love and he really did love his kids. He remind me of my father. I adore my father and it's weird Frank remind me of my father and Marie remind me of my mama lol.
@@maryammure5151 yh spot on Frank was a good guy deep down just very tough and set in his way he showed his love for his family countless times on the show he was a realistic character
And she was going to yell at me like that later anyway, I ate the backside of that ham.
It was a shame Peter Boyle never won an Emmy for this role.
He was competing with actors from Seinfeld, Friends and Frasier.
Peter Boyle was a tremendous actor. It’s insane he never won an Emmy on the show. He was only nominated a handful of times
Him and Jason Alexander were nominated 7 times but never won
Both Robert & Kramer were nominated 5 times each won 3
😂😂 best father inlaw ever
"You're like my daughter." Awww
Frank was a good character and he isn't afraid of his wife. Unlike the other members of their family. I know he cares for his sons but he loves Debra as if she was his real daughter. i think he'd do anything to help her.
hes not but he wont stand up to her all the time. frank says when marie is mad she stops cooking
It was so sweet he lied for her. Marie would have been pissed at her
I love this moment and when Frank defended Debra after his lodge buddies made lewd comments about her.
Vanessa Galvin She wouldn't have been pissed. If anything, she'd be happy that she has that to hold over her forever
“She was gonna yell at me like that later anyway.” 🤣 That’s how it is when you live with someone like Marie, lol. May as well get all the yelling out of the way asap
I loved it when he said to Debra "You're like my daughter". RIP Peter, you're being missed.
This is not about Frank. Although, he was great. I always noticed, that when decisions had to be made. Ray never got to make any of them. Debra, was always the one, who did. Very controlling, bossy, mean. Didn't take Ray into consideration.
I thought Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts, were both great. 😏
Love it when Marie storms out and the boys fall aside. 😂
🍷😆👍 Total Dodo's the 2 of them.. !
Make me cry because I know my father-in-law would do the same for me. I love that man!
My father in law would throw me under the bus 😂
I love this episode. Love when he tells her she's like a daughter to him.
Frank: I don't know, you're like a daughter to me.... awwww ❤️
R.I.P. Peter Boyle, you will be missed..
2:36 "FRAAAANK!!"🤣🤣🤣
Right on cue
"All funny."
Love Peter Boyle.
Awww the way he defended Debra there and took the blame himself. It shows Frank had a sensitive side to him. I loved this one And the one when defend Debra once again with the men gawking at her at the lodge and Frank was not having it. I love the way he was with Debra. Like she was his own daughter
U single?
I loved that scene. One of my favorite sit-coms of all time.
R.I.P Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts.
Frank acts "human" in a lot of scenes, he's my favorite character in the show!!!!!
The way he covered her with ease makes me feel like he's covered for people before
Damn hard to believe that both Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts passed away.
ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATEST COMEDIES EVER..PETER AND DORIS ARE BOTH IN T.V. HEAVEN✌✌✌✌✌
Ahhh So sweet and precious when Frank says Oh I didn't want that to happen to you - you're like my daughter.
The way they dive out the way near the end lmao. I feel em on that when my mom goes off on someone ...
Ray and Robbie wisely stay FAR away from that ball of rage that was once known as their mother.
There would have been no drama if he had just said "I accidentally left it in the garage. Sorry."
I loved this character. Couldn’t have been done by anyone else
Boyle was so great! That show would have been useless without him.
Tony Gilmour I can't believe he never won an Emmy for playing Frank, every single cast member won at least once but he never did 🙁
What an outrage! He was the best in this show.
@@Jynx0999 yh Peter Boyle was class those awards things are always bullshit anyway
I didn’t know at the time but turns out he did win an Emmy BEFORE playing Frank. It was for guest-starring on The X-Files in the category of Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
Frank understand Debra’s situation and he took the blame for it
"You're like my daughter" I really felt that.
Every once in a while, Frank showed he had a heart.
Loved Marie's last line. *FRAAAANK!*
I also loved her line when giving Debra the canister as an apology.
*I felt bad for thinking you didn't return this. And to be honest, whenever I see it now, it makes me think of Frank. So I either give you this or give you him.*
Frank genuinely loved Debra. He may be rough most of the time but he had a good heart.
Frank: i hid it from you. I thought it would be funny
Marie: frank. I've been tearing my hair out like a crazy woman looking for that
Frank: .... all funny
Yeah, We watched the same video no need to write it out like we are deaf.
ba sillah you don’t have to be a jerkoff
This scene had me dead 😂😂
This scene and the other when Raymond went in for a minor surgery that frightened Debra were the moments that soldified his care for Debra's well being. Sure he's a hardass.. ...he's old-school
When Ray went in for minor surgery the hospital staff had difficulty bringing him out of the anesthesia. Debra requested that Marie not know about this. That night Marie coaxed him to give out the information.
Too Bad I only discovered Peter Boyle on reruns of this show.. What a Brilliant actor and comedian!! Loved this guy!! RIP Peter!!
I knew Marie was gonna yell out "Fraaank!"RIP Peter Boyle.
My husband and son scatter like Ray and Robbie when I'm ticked off 😂😄
🍷😆😆
I always loved Frank and Marie! No matter how much frank got yelled at he always loved Marie. Reminds me of my grandparents. No matter how much they screamed at each other they both knew they be lost without one another. When grandma died my grandpa said he give anything to have her scream at him just one last time. He loved that woman. They were together for 55 years!
R.I.P. Peter Boyle (1935-2006).
this is why frank is the best of the cast. he's the only one who has the balls to stand up for debra and call out marie for being such a horrible person to debra. he's a sour grump, but he's a good guy deep down.
You're like my daughter...ah someone's cutting onions again
While I don't condone lying for ANY reason, I nonetheless feel this was one of the show's SWEETEST moments, especially when he tells her how he considers her as his own daughter, that was VERY touching. And he backed these feelings up in another episode when he defended her the same way in front of his lodge brothers when they talked about her behind her back.
So, I take it you don't bother wrapping gifts?
you got major probs man
@@jessediem3064 that is stupid. I'm sure he does, he just doesn't lie about who they are for....
@@jaythor70 it would seem you missed the point. I agree with your assessment of the scene, I was just poking fun ar your personal condemnation of lies.

Frank actually would have hid the canister to be funny so that’s why Marie bought this story without question.
I love Debras outfit
Frank is literally my favorite on Everybody Loves Raymond. He's funny as hell and he has his decent moments.
If you're wondering why the backside of the ham is so important that's where the flavor is 🐖🐖🐖🐖
🍷😆 I know right!
To the actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten one of TV best sitcoms ever appreciate a good laugh appreciate you guys thanks job well done you should be amazed and proud love you guys ! Joe
"Give your heart to God because your ass is Marie..." 😂😂😂
I loved this show..❤️
Loved frank and debras friendship😊
One of the very greatest episodes ever. Robert’s reaction to seeing the “canister” (cookie tin) before this when he comes in their house is genius.
They don't make sitcoms as good today.....breaks my heart...
Yes out with those overly dramatic prehistoric bickering yelling dino's family shows 🦕 from the last century. The 21st century world shall soon evolve to be more pointless, more cold, more distant, more 📺Netflix watching self centered humor less yet peacefully complacent bunch. 🥂😵🤓
@@evm6177Nah, this is a century of decline tbh. West is dead.

The canister is one of my favorite episodes.
One of my favorite episodes !
King Tuts golden undies! LOL!!!!!
RIP PB You are missed!!
frank is actually my favorite character in the show.
frank from seinfeld too haha
Such an old man thing to say. "I hid it because I thought it would be funny."
I was at my aunt's house bored out of my mind because they didn't have cable out in the country. My grandpa was in a recliner tossing a ball to their dog getting him riled up. He tosses it into the kitchen where my aunt was and the dog came barrelling in. She says "Damnit, Dooley." And my grandpa goes: "Jean, get a hold of that dog." knowing damn well he threw it at my aunt on purpose. LMFAO
One of TV best sitcoms ever to the actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten appreciate you guys and the memories and a good laugh you guys rock thanks still going strong way to go ! Joe
Marie takes blame for Debra in the letter episode: "Maybe you can do something for me in return."
Frank takes blame for Debra here: "You're like my daughter."
The difference
And, Frank saying "let it go" after Debra tried to intervene
I must say that Favors is one of my favorite episodes though
Aaawwww franks love for Debra ❤️❤️
Yes but wearing those "fuck me heels" in her gorgeous bare feet, Frank should have demanded at least a few sniffs of Deb's sweaty feet for that favor. I'm sure pansy Ray wouldn't have objected.
@@MsBelle1111 take yo meds
I have seen families with similarities to Ray Baron's. Despite the bickering, yelling and all the drama, the members would stick together when it mattered the most. They do love each other in their own weird way.
I love Frank, gruff on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside.
Like a Cadbury egg
just about the only sitcom I ever liked..king of queens is alri but this show right here..so much talent
The lengths they all took to keep Marie from exploding in anger over a canister demonstrates how toxic a person Marie is.
Frank also say that he backed Debra up because he ate the back side of the ham, too.
I ate the backside of that ham.
FRANK!
love you frank aka peter
These all shows had soul...gold is gold.
I love Frank!
“All funny.”
Frank Barone is the madman of sitcom.
This is honestly one of my favourite episodes. It's so funny yet it ends with this poignant moment with Frank. When the boys are kicking the cannister down the stairs It's like something out of a horror movie.😂 It keeps coming back. And when Robert first sees it. Again. The look of horror on his face. All of them were so good.
Great episode. Brilliant writing and performances.
Favorite episode of this show
Still love how Robert a 6ft 8 cop is deathly afraid of little Marie
Great scene from a great episode of a great show!
I love how he didn't even ask for a favor like they did later in the episode "Favors."
True comedy at its very holy crap frank barone standing up for debra barone one of TV best sitcoms ever to the actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong you are the daughter o always wanted she was going to yell at me later I ate the back ham of the bone appreciate a good laugh and the memories you should be amazed and proud love and respect and appreciation job well done thanks !!!
