- Legendary racing cars back at Le Mans with some lovely summer weather.
Over the day and night full action on track with multiple different classes.
Great impressions how it used to be all those years ago… and then 24 hours long…. pure music.
Some nice Group C cars like the Peugeot 905, MERCEDES-BENZ C11, LOLA T92/10 and way more.
Also many GT40’s with that special V8 noise and of course the Lola T70’s,Matra,Ferrari and more,more. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Just something about Racing cars sounding amazing at night time.
The end is near perfection. In 1982 I sat at Tertre Rouge at night (2am ish) and listened to car after car turn and go down the Mulsanne. Some were so far apart you only heard one car. A car would gear up down the straight and in the night air, the sound would slowly disappear. The music of the motors give that haunting sound that never stops but slowly fades away. The sound will never leave my mind!
Only Angels singing could sound better
Not sure why but it relax me and help me to fall asleep.

The one at 7:10 is a Porsche 936/77 www.supercars.net/blog/1977-porsche-93677/
The 936 was a weapon in its day but the top speed is slightly optimistic but not by much. This was one of the first cars that could be truly thrashed for 24 hours and make it to the finish.
I don't know the other one. The back end looks familiar but I still can't pick it. It's a Cosworth engine though, either a DFV or a DFL. You can't miss that sound.

great sound but why filming only the rear of the cars? we want to see the front of the cars. No?
good question, I definitely understand you but here it was quite hard to do that. For example the finish line + arnage is not a option to film the front of the cars... wel I was able to do that on the finish straight (Tribune) but then you will hear more sounds of the commentators speakers I think. And for me it's also the most important to share the exhaust notes around the circuit... and most of the time that's when the cars accelerating.

Diesels should be banned because they're dangerous. Thats why European cities are making new laws.
Pls find the nite in car footage ...if u missed it of the Diesel Peugeot a few yrs back going down Mulvane...I'm a Huge P3 ...917 & Marra 12 cyl fan ...but that drone of the DIESEL Peugeot...Hair raising it was...
