Lavotchkin La-7 Cy Models with Saito FG-84 R3 - warbird04

First and second flight of my Lavotchkine La-7 from Cy Models. The kit has been strongly modified, as scale retract relocation, air scoop, canon bubble, sliding canopy.
Design: Cy Models
Wing span: 2450mm
Lenght: 2200mm
Weight: 15.5 kg without petrol (1x500 ml and 1200 ml smoke) and pilote + cockpit. With 250 gr Lead in front.
Motor: Saito FG-84 R3, modified by myself.
Propeller: Mejzlik 24x12 CFK 2 blade (@6200 rpm/min)
Retract: Electron ER-40, self made oléo legs.
Radio: Tx Futaba T12 and Rx 6014 HS
Feature: Sulivan smoker, 2x 2S lipo 3300 Mah (for Rx) + 1x 3S lipo 3300 Mah (for ignition and retract) + Powerbox evolution. NoNa air Wheel 150mm.

Every LA-7 I've seen flies great. One of the FEW Rooskie aircraft that appeals to me. Good job!

Very nice! And I like the style of flying. I wish that someone would make an 8-9 pound version of the LA-7. It seems to fly well -- like a P-47.

What's the weight of the La-7? Just asking becauce I'm planning to install this engine in my planned I.A.R. 80 with 250cm wingsam, scale 1:4.

J'ai indiqué tous les détails dans la description sous la vidéo... merci de lire!Oui la puissance est suffisante pour un pilote confirmé, mais il faudrait monter le Saito FG-90R3, mon Saito FG-84R3 a été modifié par mes soins. Je tourne une 24x12 à 6100-6200 tr/min. Il faut par contre construire léger !

is the engine powerfull enoughf for the model? whats the total weight?

If you build the Lavotchkine as light as possible, the engine will be enough. The Saito FG-90 R3 is the minimum powerplant to fit.As descripted in the video, the final weight is 15.5kg without petrol and pilote.
