To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now.
He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is very good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres.
If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your souls. Thank you again for reacting to Zhou Shen's performance.
This song is based on a video game theme of a boy who wins the princess when be battles a dragon, and the king finally gives his permission to marry his daughter (the voices). What is really remarkable is that each character has a difficult name to pronounce, which is used throughout the song. Although difficult to find, if you find the lyrics to the song and then watch it, you have even more of an appreciation for the singing talent of Zhou Shen.
Do not be fooled by this "one off" song. Zhou Shen is so diverse in genres. He is best known for his Chinese operatic voices, and his classical singing. His resume of music is impressive. I included an intro to Zhou Shen in a previous comment to best appreciate his talents.

Zhou Shen's voice is sweet. He can sings more than 10 different languages. He likes to add Bel Canto or Opera (sometimes Chinese Opera) in Pop songs. Bel Canto: "Think of me","memory" , "Time to say goodbye " and " Baby до свидания".Romantic:"Eyes on me","Rubia"and "Sanctuary". Diablo songs, such as "Unravel" ，"The Song of Heaven Island" and "Ring the doorbell and listen by myself".

Zhou Shen sang in 5 different voices which represent 5 different characters: little girl, male narrator, young warrior, king & dragon. He is a talented and great vocalist who able to sing in many genres & languages. Please react to his performances and you will be amazed by him. Thank you.
Because of his small stature, feminine disposition and voice, he was often bullied in school. Never thinking that he had what it takes to be a singer, he went tot he Ukraine to become a dentist. While there, he was convinced that he did have a great singing ability, thus transferred his major to music. Thank goodness he did.
As an introduction into Zhao "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye".
For something different from him, watch his version of "Let It Go" and "Monsters".
Last, but definitely not least (there is so much more from him), enjoy the videos, "This is Me" and a very unique and fun song (one of my favs) "Da La Beng Ba". His biggest success is the song "Big Fish".

Honestly I too was very surprised when I heard Dalabengba for the 1st time 😂 so much so that i played it like 10 times in a row to makesure it was live recording 😂😂😂 His voice is unforgetable after 1st hearing...now it's a daily ritual for me to listen to his songs as his voice just calms me down 😊

Asian people are to collective in thinking - they have high very stickt stanndards and rase kids this way (it is not critic cos in most case this is good tactic)
but Slavs are more elastic when we rase kids - in this same time as odd more chaotic in education and lot of kids untill 18 year of age do not know what will be their occupation.
Zhou Shen didn't win the competition, but he won the public. If you want to see another side of Zhou Shen, try to listen his 'Memory'.

You will feel amazing of all his performance. This song was originally written to sing for a virtual character in 2017, it didn't take into account the factor of ventilation. He is the first one to sang this song with 5 characters and switching his voice smoothly (not include the last two voice - baby & mother). This song shocking to many people last year when performed in this show last year. Bravo

It’s no doubt that everyone listening to the song is very appreciative and is amazed of ZhouSheng’s singing. I noticed that for those who do not understand the lyric which is Chinese, are always wondering what was the song about? I am sure if these people know about the story they will enjoy and appreciate the song even more! If you don’t mind I will give a very brief narrative about the fairytale story behind the song. Long ago there was a kingdom and there was a dragon living not far away. One day the Princess was captured by the Dragon and the King issued a decree requesting anyone to rescue the Precess. A brave young man came forward and drew his sword pointed to the sky and promised the King that he will save the Princess! So the yong man rode his horse to meet the Dragon. There were conversations between the Dragon and the young man! (the singer was doing a running movement as the Dragon pronounced the young man’s name as “Marathon”) At the end the young man defeated the Dragon and the Princess was brought back to the King. The King was overjoyed and there were big celebration ( the rhythm of the song became faster and faster). The king than gave permission for the Princess to marry the yong man. As time passed the Princess gave birth to a baby, that is why at the end of the song the singer was seen to be carrying a baby and there was baby crying sound! That my two cents worth about the fairytale story! 😄😄😄！

This song is not made for human to sing, literally.
It was made for Virtual Singer (not a real life person/singer) called Luo Tianyi & Yanhe, and the singing is done by Voice Synthesizer.
Many of the lyric were a meaningless, long, hard to pronounce words that were incredibly hard to read, let along sing it. Even the writer of this song said it himself, he never actually care if the song can't be sung by human, cause he never intended it to be so, so he deliberately added a hard to pronounce words in a long and hard to breath song.
So anyone who can sing this song truly deserve a big WOW!
And Zhou Shen nailed it through and through, no contest, and in my opinion, even better than the original singer, and they're not even human, LOL (he actually beat a computer)

Zhou Shen, started when he enter "The Voice of China" china version og "The Voice" in 2014.
You should see him sing the song "Huan Yan" in the blind audition.

If you don't know what this song is about, it is a computer game about a young warrior saving the princess from a dragon and he is playing different characters in the song. The little girl, the young warrior, the dragon, the narrator and the king.

He's acting out 5 different characters in a fairytale. A little girl, the narrator, the young warrior, the dragon and the king (not counting the baby and the princess who didn't sing).
There was a dragon who brought disaster to the kingdom, kidnapping the princess and disappearing. The people were distressed and a brave warrior volunteered to rescue the princess.
The king, rejoiced, asked for his name. The Warrior's name is 达拉崩吧 斑得贝迪 卜多比鲁翁 Dalabengba Bandebeidi Buduobiluweng(and no I'm not joking).
Carrying the hopes of the people on his shoulders, Dalabengba rode the fastest horse from the palace through great danger and received twelve gold coins. He opened all the treasure chests in a remote village.
When he arrived at the cave of the dragon, he pulled out his sword to confront it. The dragon said its name is 昆图库塔 卡提考特 苏瓦西拉松 Kuntukuta Katikaote Suwasilasong, which was mistaken by the warrior as 昆特牌 提琴 烤蛋塔 苏打 马拉松 Gwent cards violin baked eggtart soda marathon (the Chinese words sound similar but mean different things**. I am *not joking*).
They had a big fight. Dalabengba slashed Kuntukuta and Kuntukuta bit Dalabengba. Eventually, Dalabengba won.
Dalabengba and 公主 米娅莫拉 苏娜丹妮 谢莉红 Princess Miyamola Sunadani Xielihong(facts, people) rode back to the city. The name of the capital city they returned to after defeating the dragon is 蒙达鲁克 硫斯伯古 比奇巴勒 城 Mengdaluke Liusibogu Biqibale City(still not joking).
The princess married the warrior and to avoid confusion they named their child Wang Haoran and apparently the child's full name is too difficult to pronounce so the narrator dosen't want to say it even once.("if you have to hear it then you say it yourself").
The End.
**So the names don't really mean anything, they're just tongue twisters which is why there is literally no other way to translate. And I can't believe I typed all that.
P.S. I heard (not sure) that the child's name is actually the whole song and the song is a joke about how in video games all the player names are taken and you have to think up increasingly absurd ones.
