I felt sorry for her when she said in the past few years, she has left many dramas after writing two/three episodes because she couldn’t bring life to them. It’s so heartbreaking to see what this “30 episodes” benchmark is doing to writers' creativity. Aunn Zara lasting 19 episodes was such a delight to rewatch, would I be able to find the motivation to watch prem gali or BEDS in a few years time? Probably not and it’s mainly because of the dragged out story :(

She is a writer to be cherished, a ray of hope amongst the regressive writers. My most favourite dramas are by her. I immensely enjoyed RRK, Aangan, Aun Zara, Akbari Asghari. The most I like is the family bonding she portrays. Her dramas are not just about the hero and heroine, the character roles are very strong. Great interview. Loved listening to her. So confident, sensible and clear in her thoughts.

I usually don't comment but have to say some words in praise of this extraordinary writer that the versatility she shows in her plays, the variety in her stories that make each her dramas different from another is just on another level. She is beyond words. Kudos to her definitely! ❤️⭐

I think you people are just being unfair to Prem gali. It is not dragged at all. It is just they are showing different character personalities at different times and giving them time to unfold and realize. Faiza is absolutely right about Luqman's charachter that he is annoying and I can feel that from very first episode. It is just that he has got his turn now to show how annoying he could be. And same can be said about Mussarat. Prem gali is a beautiful nice pace drama with strong social messages and a well knit story.

Pakistani writers are soo soo talented.. I wish the writers were soo progressive bin india too.. india might be more progressive than Pakistan in a lot of ways.. but when it comes to good writing.. especially given the limited choices that they have in regards to the topics.. pakistan is way way ahead of India.. I mean indian dramas ka ek episode bhi is not worth watching.. so much respect for writers like Faiza because she took a lot of blame about production and directional flaws on herself.. 😁so sweet of her..

Yes I felt the same thing
Especially when you know how tv serials here in India are written. You will see a liat of writers when you read a serial's description. Episodes are written on ongoing shoot by multiple writers and a lot of trending topics news erc are here and there included randomly into the script. Where as these Pakistani shows have a writer with one vision thag have a start and end point in their head. Nowadays even many Pakistani dramas are being written kn day to day basis way and you can see what trash they are becoming. Hope the preserve that USP and stick to it

I will be honest I was judging the drama just buy it’s teasers and basic story but when I finally watched the first episode I fell in love what a drama. It’s sort of a relief from all the social issue drama but saying that it actually is amazing.

What a genuine and soft spoken Lady. Very clear in her views. Even the drama reviewers can learn from her how to respectfully and logically criticise a drama.
    Thanks for this beautiful interview.

I am so impressed listening to Faiza Iftikhars interview, she has definitely shown her mettle, crossed all boundaries of intellect. I am so pleased to know we have excellent writers....more intelligent than amna,I suppose, she gave such strong, relatable and solid answers,so convincing!!
Kudos to faiza and amna for interviewing and asking clear questions.

Insightful interview but one thing I noticed that Amna didn't openly say how much she has disliked Prem Gali 😂 Hassan was the one who liked it and had problema with dragging etc but Amna I remember didn't like the starting and then agajn since past few episodes has been very critical. I really enjoy Prem Gali, yes it's long but it's enjoyable and a good comic relief

Listening to a writer talk is like listening to a mother, their work is like a child who they birth, nurture, build up a life around and finally give away to the world. I have the utmost respect for writers. Amna thank you very much for this interview. Plz so interview Bee Gul also, dying for that interview.

Loved the interview loved the interview. I loved Angan and Ranjha Ranjha and Aun Zara. The only issue I had with Ranjha Ranjha that I wish they didn't show Bhola raping his wife cuz after that I couldn't enjoy Bholas innocence. In Bandhey Ek dor it was only dragged because it wS more with flashbacks etc.
