- Of all of these Commemorative Quarters to be released there were three Colored Variations amongst them that were minted at 3 million Each that are the rarest and most sought after coins Released in that Catalogue. Although these coins are already extremely rare by most collector standards there is a rare variation that can be detected in the 2009 Colored men's hockey known as the Raised 2 and in This video, we will give you some information and help you to better identify this modern Error without too Much Hassle!

Guess I have to check out my quarter when I get home. I have the men's hockey colored, just was not aware of a variety. Pretty cool either way, as I pulled it from circulation in Minnesota.
Nice video on the Men's hockey colored quarter variants. I have a colored raised 2 and I have bloody skate error raised 2, as it appears all the red ink dye ran off the coin and pooled and hardened around the bottom of both skates, so it kinda looks like a skate had cut him in the back of his legs or something :) Keep up the vids!

I believe that it's Petro-Canada who didn't use these coins with the large maple design,so the mint took em back...
Wow super Kooln coins I just started collecting the 2010 Vancouver Olympic quarter coins they all have 2010 on the tailside but like 2007 & 2008 on the headside which probably represents some sort of commemorative ordeal.
Great video, very informative, thank you. But I was just hoping to clarify one thing, when you touched on the "lesser known" 2008 Alpine Skiier mule, you said "which will contain the date of 2007, instead of 2008, that is how you will identify this mule." But the mule is actual the one that contains the date 2008 not 2007. The 2007 Alpine Skiier was actually the intended strike & the 2008 was the mule.

Wow 39, 000,000, people in Canada last I checked so likely over 40 million now. Only 200K raised coloured 2's in circulation means only 2% of Canadians have witnessed this at best .Now they are all keeping them..
Just found one that's gotta be MS - 65+. No grading necessary because I have the colorless one to compare and that's probably an MS -60.
I do have the raised 2 but not the red maple leaf

So they just file it as people register the coin or numismatic Canada just play it by ear like there’s no real interest to keep records !
ok well i have a colored cindy klassen Q sooo what dose this mean?? also i have other colored Q's 2011 1st nations buffalo w/a idk green sun or moon over the buffalo??? and 2011 1st nations killer whale i think or some kind of whale with a blue half circle on the R upper side??? 2015 Q that has the flag but the flag is red and white and has 50 years/ans on the bottom ??? help please!!!!
