The problem is that drake's audience is also in their 30's, and a decent portion are female, they don't like that.
I'm not saying drake is finished, he isn't, but his style-changing doesn't sound like innovation and change like in the past, it sounds more like imitation and following.
I think drake is done growing at the very least because he can no longer stay trendy and appeal to his current fans at the same time.
At some point artist just get too old and can no longer appeal to younger fans, Eminem went through a similar phase where he was accused of trying to stay 'trendy' and no matter what he did he couldn't shake the label and everyone went at his neck (IE, 2018, MGK beef, Gucci dissing him, his 'whiteness' being an issue, him not being a top 5 rapper, etc).
All of that was a build-up and a turning of the culture against Eminem.
He's still doing numbers, but he was dethroned and his numbers/fans have been declining whether people want to admit it or not.
Its ironic because Eminem referenced this happening to Drake one day as-well in a song.
I think Drake is at that point now.
