Poor girl's terrified... you can see it in her eyes ..... utter evil to do this to these beautiful loyal creatures ----- scum who do this deserve no mercy or teeth left in their head
whats really annoying is that the owner had to move house to protect his dog rather than the poisoner being prosecuted - on a more personal note I have had neighbours dogs barking day in day out for hours on end but never in a million years would it have crossed my mind to try to poison them - my neighbours never walked their dogs at all & they used to leave them alone for long periods when they went out & they would bark incessantly for hours due to stress / separation anxiety - that was the fault of the neglectful neighbours NOT the dogs - you deal with it by talking to your neighbour & if necessary contacting the local authorites - poisoning dogs is just evil
Not all neighbours are like you. My dog is very under confident dog. She is super territorial but equally scared of other dogs. So she would bark at all times (now I keep all doors and windows closed between 10pm -6am to reduce her triggers). Also, with other trainings/more exercise/getting another dog that she super friends with, has helped quite a lot. But during all this my neighbour had threatened me with eviction (thankfully my landlord gave my neighbour an earful). They have also suggested that I get her voice box removed. I politely made the point that its against the laws and I can file a police complaint against them for suggesting something like this (Its possible in the country I am in.) Its also against the law in my country to discriminate against someone while selling/renting houses due to the fact that they have pets.
Not all the time is it the owners fault that they bark
My parents neighbours dog was bitten by a snake and barked all day and night
I was the one that heard it since he was outside my room I felt sorry for him he was terrified of it happening again and the property he was on there would have been lots of hiding places for snakes (farm sort of area)
That’s the thing people forget, if your willing to live in a suburban area, better expect to hear dogs barking all times of the day, if you don’t like it move to the city or go live out in the farm
@@angelwidme so you’re saying you would poison a dog for barking (something every dog does and is like saying a human shouldn’t speak cuz they’re ‘annoying’). Good for you being a murderer

Honestly, SO much props to the roommate. For him to notice something was off, then see that she was panting excessively and to bring her into the vet was great. I'd be so grateful. It's great that he had a roommate who was willing to help/was able to understand well enough when there was a problem and that it was one that needed treatment/attention right away
If someone poisoned my dog, there would be a funeral for him the next day. Each animal is a member of the family.
Hurting animals is one of the traits of a psychopath. Whoever did this is cold blooded and has no empathy.
Especially for something as trivial as barking, like she's a dog she's gonna bark
It has to be. I just can't fathom how a normal person could even entertain such a disgusting thought far less follow through. I would feel so horrible doing such a thing I don't know how someone could do that and act like it's nothing.
Yup...people are next if not being hurt already. Better check dudes basement...😬
I hope whoever poisoned Zenna were caught and prosecuted.
The laws in most places should be much harsher on animal abusers in my opinion.
I agree! Who does that?!?! This made me cry and EXTREMELY ANGRY 😤!
Sucks that they didn’t catch the perpetrator though. This person is gonna go around and continue doing it to other dogs. It’s horrible
Hopefully they'll get caught eventually or a dog will take a serious bite out of them. What really upsets me is people who say dogs don't have emotions should watch this. Zenna is a considered a dangerous breed yet she allowed the vet's to treat her without putting up a fight and you can see the fear in her eyes and how happy she was to see Paul when she made it through the night. Proof that they do feel emotions and aren't vicious. Its not bad dogs ita bad irresponsible owners!
If i recall the owner had to move, the people who, at the moment, allegedly poised the poor pup, get away Scott free. Sucks
Worst nightmare is not knowing how far evil neighbors go. So glad your dog made it, mine died after a first episode of seizure, rare at age 12. Makes me cry not knowing what really happened to my Red boxer. Lost my Maltipooh only 3 months later, blood in her poop, suddenly. Devastated!
I have a Rottie and this broke my heart. Poor baby. I can’t imagine.. Rottweilers are an amazing breed and gets hate for no reason.
Rotts are commonly feared due to their owners neglecting them, and poor dogs get blamed on and put down . It's really sad
They are the best dog. What a lot of people don't realize is they are great family dogs. Plus they can be so goofy! I grew up with a 120 lb male rottie named Amos who thought he was a lap dog. I still miss him.
They also have an intimidating look to them. Especially with they're serious look.
God... it doesn't matter if their problem was with the dog herself or with the owner, there is nothing that justifies doing this to an animal. Nothing. I sincerely hope the person (or persons) responsible are caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent, as well as made to watch this footage (plus what wasn't televised) in the process to see what they did to her. They should also be paying any and all veterinary bills and covering any time off her owner and housemates might have had to take to look after her. There aren't words enough to describe how disgusting an act this was on their part.
*EDITED TO INCLUDE:* While I won't say that this being an accident is impossible, and I'd love to believe no one would do this on purpose, based on the dialogue I find that highly unlikely. To say that your neighbour deliberately poisoned your dog is not an accusation one makes lightly, and there's clearly a history of the neighbour showing hostility. At the end of the video, you also get to see the owner's yard where she was being kept when she would have consumed the poison. It's quite neatly closed in: it's not like she was roaming around on a farm or out on a walk. If there was snail bait on the property that she could have accidentally gotten into, they would have lead with that assumption before making accusations.
If you're capable of this kind of behavior seeing the trauma the dog went through is not likely to make a difference. I would like to see them locked in an institution. "Bless the beasts and children...they have no voice they have no choice."
Amayla! I completely agree with you. But on top of paying for pain to this poor fur baby and the emotional pain to the people. They should get and that's before going to jail a taste and feel of there own medicine. Make them as sick as they did to this poor baby. See how they like it
Unfortunately I doubt the owner will ever get justice for this dog. Proving animal cruelty is extremely hard to do, and all the neighbour has to do is deny it.
My dog was poisoned with snail bait because the local thieves couldn't enter our yard. He survived and the culprit was driven out of town by our neighbours.
Did the neighbours do what any normal person do? Hit them with baseball bats and rocks?
Those who mistreat dogs deserve a bullet. I have 3 dogs and if someone tried something…
How devastating for the owner, his friend and this beautiful pup. How cruel can people be, should be reported to police and addressed through court. I keep my dog inside day and night we have plenty of walks, because I just won’t take the risk. My dog is a family member, part of everything we do. Thankful to Dr Chris for saving this pups life, incredible work.
Watching her shake like that is hard & she's not even my dog🥺.
This was horrifying, it's one thing for a dog to be bitten or try and eat something poisonous (like a toad or something) but for a disgusting excuse of a human being to deliberately poison a dog it's something entirely different. I'm just so glad that Zenna was ok in the end
Not only that but if you spray like something to kill weeds and your dog eats the plants that you just sprayed but this is uncalled for
He didn’t just poison Zenna he did it in a way that would torture her! What kind of disgusting person could possibly do something like that? How can they live with themselves?!
until we undress and tame the cruel and ppl take responsibility.. sadly a lot will take it out on animals since other paths are too hard.
@@Razgriz85 I agree but somehow some of these people will go under the radar of police and everyone else and be serial killers till the day they die and get away with it.
I saw a list of dodo videos titled something about to restore your faith in humanity but all I can think when I see them is how many animals were not saved from these people and the suffering already endured by these innocent animals before they were saved, every one of those videos broke my faith in humanity all over again. I’ve spent the last couple mo trying to get these poor animals (the suffering) out of my head while questioning if every person I pass on the street may be one of ‘them’!

I can’t even imagine how it must feel for the owner to see his best friend in that state. I cried when I saw him sobbing over his dog 😭
Animal cruelty laws just aren't strict enough anywhere IMO. My ex husband had his Akida poisoned by the guy he was living with, someone he used to call a friend. The guy decided he didn't want her on the property...but then again, this guy also got off on murder charges, claiming self defense, over a drug deal gone bad, in his kitchen. Cops refused to allow my ex to file charges against this guy because he didn't have any "proof". The guy had the poison in his possession, but there was no proof because my ex didn't actually see him feed the dog the poison🤦♀️🤬. What kind of twisted world do we live in???
Of course possession of the poison shouldn't be enough evidence. Are you insane? That's asking for many convictions of innocent people. I'd rather some criminals go free than innocent people being imprisoned. Very sorry about the dog though. She definitely didn't deserve it. Did she survive the poisoning?
I have a gun therfore I'm the culprit in every gun related crime that happens near me.....
@@Anna133199 The point of possession may not be enough but if he could have proven motive, he might have gotten the guy to face the consequences of poisoning his dog. But I’m no expert, so I may be wrong about that.
