I think there are MANY people are discovering what great cars these where compared to todays overly complicated techno golf carts(German cars!) that frankly all drive and look the same something SAAB never subscribed to until GM fully entrenched their corporate claws.
Amazing good quality video. The company that potentially contributed most to innovative world wide car safety is no longer with us…isn’t that sad? All the others hugely benefited.
I owe my Mom's, my elder Sister's, and my own, Life to how-well SAAB (not GM, but SAAB!) built their cars. I now drive an older Volvo, hoping it is as good and robust.

But on the head-on collision, the 9000 still perform well compare to today's cars, it was safest car in the 90s after all.
correct but it's not just "thicker" metal i believe they're using different metal materials throughout the chassis, so for example the crumple zones use softer metal material so it can absorb the impact, while the crucial protection like roof, under and side uses stronger steel for rigidity
