Comparison: Brevite Jumper Photo to Lowepro Fastpack BP250 AW III

Another camera backpack review.

this was a super helpful video. I currently own a Brevite and can't stand it because of the lack of comfort. Prob going to do a deep dive on that Lowepro. Looks like a way better option for me personally.

For me, it’s the price of the Brevite that’s bit too much. I read when it first came out, it was $120ish USD. Now, it’s up to $170, and there are better bags less than that, including that Lowepro. I’d probably buy it at $120.

I agree it is a bit expensive. But I believe there is a point that the Brevite appeals. (I bought the large Jumper again) hahahahaha

Great and humorous review, thank you. The Brevite really is more of an everyday backpack that does hold camera gear and for that reason is small and compact. I used to have a photo specific backpack but wanted more of an all around pack that holds just a little camera gear so got the Brevite.

Thank you for the video! Funny coincidence, we have the same laptop! I never thought about the laptop floating off the ground, but it makes sense. I was super interested in the Brevite, but I am glad I ordered the Lowepro. Similarly priced and aimed at similar people with different styles and priorities. I like the comparison format!

Great review, your method provides much information in a compact format!
As for the bags, I have the Brevite that just arrived. I like the size and softness and it should travel well. On the other hand the material will probably get wet and dirty and the hardware just doesn’t feel durable. The Manfrotto looks like a way better value ( $130 vs Brevite $170!!!!) and I am going to order it. I wish it was just a bit smaller though. Do you think it will fit under the plane seat as a personal item?

I like the Brevite's way of access inside the bag. I am pretty sure that it fits under the plane seat. the bag is quite small so I bought the large size of it again. I agree that the fabric does not feel durable but it is not that bad haha :)

Good comparison. I have the Brevite and just ordered the Lowepro.
The Brevite shoulder straps are so thin and doesn’t include a sternum strap. I was always paranoid I didn’t zip the front door correctly on the Brevite and everything would just fall out 😅.
Materials seem better on the Lowepro but the Brevite is more customizable in the camera compartment.

Sternum strap: I got a clip-on one from Amazon for around 8 dollars. No big deal. I like my Brevite day pack very much. (Encourages good habits-don't carry so much crap!)
