I had the honor and pleasure of interviewing Morgan Heritage for The Beat magazine in the early 2000s. Peter was welcoming, friendly, candid and completely ego-free. He was a great front man as well- always knew how to engage a crowd. This is a tremendous loss for reggae music. May he rest easy in Zion.

I live in Belize City and we grew up on his music, when he was touring in Amsterdam I dont remember the name of the tour but when they came to Belize and performed at the Civic Center I went to his concert and front stage I sang every song they sang the same way they performed someone in the crowd wanted to know how I knew what he was going to say after each lyric, I told them its because they are my favorite reggae band.
