Prof Paramjot Singh Ji
Sant Baba Sucha Singh Ji (1st October, 1948 to 27th Augest, 2002),
was a learned but humble person who began a new chapter in the history of the Punjab.
He, by initiating his noble pursuits, created a new awakening among the people of the Punjab
about their glorious heritage. All the learned men began to assemble around him. He brought all
the learned men closer to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He established the International Institute of Sikhhism
where the tradition of holding Seminars on various aspects of Sikhism came to the fore. The Gurmat Sangeet Sammelans (Devotional Singing of Gurbani) in accordance with the ragas (classical music of Sri Guru Granth Sahib's) were organized in order to popularize the such singing among the masses.
