man thats what i see when i see him for the first time... i am argentinian and we are known because we have "EGGS" (HUEVOS), and Diego is that kind of player. MY kind of player, thats so lovely to see. Not all argentinians have that, even in football. But when you see that is awesome.

The crazy thing is that shot was absouletly crucial to the match. Unlike some players who do like that when they are way a head or losing anyway.

been watching this guy for a few years and i was always impressed by his game and how hard he plays. got to see him play djokovic in roland garros a few years ago and damn believe me when i say the whole crowd was on his side, incredible performance
His lob-game is outrageous (for obvious reasons) and he reacts SO quickly against approaches/passes

Amazing player, great strokes and execptional touch, really reminds me of Coria. If only he was 10cm taller he could be a top 5 player
His top rank is #11. Ferrer was only 4-5cm taller than him and hit the #3 mark. I reckon if he keeps working hard he could reach a #5 - i agree being at 180cm would be of greater advantage. Doesn’t stop him though!
Coria was no.3 and could had been no.2 and he was short too.
@@RidaHakeem With more height he could serve better.. But maybe he won't return as good as now or run with less speed and energy.

The big diference between Coria and Diego was the mental strenght. Altought Diego is an elite player, Guillermo belonged to another level, even from juniors. My point is that what Diego needs to be as good as Guille, isnt height, but the right mindset in tigh moments. So far I see that is not only that the opponents can play better than him, but also Diego tends to choke when it matters against top players. He hasnt find that regularity like Ferrer once did and became that beast to be top 10. Diego is a well deserved top 15, but if he wants more, I'm sure he does, he needs a click in the mental deparment, in order to make that next step.

El gran problema del peque es su altura. En su mejor momento tiene buena lectura de pelotas, pero no es un jugador que sepa mantener bien su game porque saca lento. Tenés que ser Nadal literal para sacar despacio y quedar bien posicionado.
Igual mejoró un monton su saque,ahora se nota mas que ya no pierde partidos solo por eso
