Many great perspectives and take always. I learned in my teens after witnessing countless Black males murdered and imprisoned, nobody with the authority to punish me cares. My options: Play short ball (live fast and die young) with a Y carved in my young chest or I could play to stay (alive and free) by playing long ball and getting it legit, thus giving myself a chance to live a long, healthy, prosperous life. There’s enough blame to go around and everybody got a right to complain. But after you complain do something about it.
We all got trauma and pain. Suck it up buttercup.

Facts big homie.
This is powerful. For a group of brothers to have this discussion is much needed. These are jewels people of all ages need to hear.
Facts very well put
Problem is, they're all old in the eyes of these young gangstas. So they won't respect their words. Which is sad.
Bro, I literally said the same ish! Salute!
LOL where you from King ?
We got the same name im a III
My son is a IV
🤝🏾🤝🏾💯
The dude with the purple hoodie and dreads is absolutely right, this society rewards criminals and they are glorified. Meanwhile he did it the right way and was positive and nobody gives a damn, I see it now with me and my friends, doing and saying positive things but we get ignored.
Keep at it young Brother. plant your seeds one at a time and keep pushing fwd one day you'll reap all your rewards
Y'all the real future bro don't even trip
It's almost like a soldier coming back from the war 💯
Walk the line brotha' the respect will come.
Math disagreeing with him, knowing damn well he was right
What Bimmy did is called preemptive striking; avoiding a negative before it happens. When you get honest with yourself, you realize there’s a whole lot of things you could’ve avoided if you just chose to stay away from people or things that you KNOW will have a high problematic possibility.
💯,most drama can be avoided by preemptive thinking
It's how I made it to 46 in the hood with no gun. I used my brains to get me out of bad situations well before I needed to pull the trigger.
Niggas call that being “scary”

Bigga is right, when strong men start coming together to guide the youth, we will see change.
It's really not rocket science

They are like in one of the most egotistical businesses, rap. Niccas beef over the dumbest things, most shoot first ask questions later, even the old ones. I hate these hindsight convos
Bigga message was powerful
@jusmike he usually make valid point
💯💯💯
You notice how Yayo kept looking to him when he was talking the real life points. He didn’t wanna hear from nobody else. Lol
It was facts!
Always
It's dudes like buddy who called dude a nerd be the problem. Because he doesn't drink or smoke, never sold drugs, etc. he's looked at like a nerd instead of congratulating him for doing it the right way. Everybody loves the thug, gangster, gang member, drug dealer. Gives a person a sense of pride.
It is what it is, Mecca could of called them thugs.....gotta respect it
The word nerd shouldn’t be used either - it’s not an uplifting word . Being a nerd is like being called weird but literally everyone in the world is weird
Facts
He spoke facts, America has always had an obsession with violence and the criminal underworld
@@krooktype5891 the word nerd is a wrap. These nerds are billionaires making Instgram, Facebook, and every other app booming and so on. Wish I woulda took that need route. They getting the money, even though they missed on the "cool shyt" they living it up now.
Good fathers make a BIG DIFFERENCE in reference to peer pressure. My dad told me...”If you ever get in trouble, make sure it’s your idea.”
I never succumbed to peer pressure. My friends knew not to even ask me to do street activities because if it wasn’t my idea, I wouldn’t even consider it.
I like that quote!
Well said.
I'm using that!
I did participated in some street activities but I never indulged in CIGARETTES/WEED/LIQUOR/HARD DRUGS. And I'm 48 years old right now.
I like that. I always say if I'm to do dirt I'd do it alone, but that quote is a lot cleaner
@@michael43567 my pops told me that one also and it’s a great one. He specifically told me that one in reference to beef. If you want to retaliate, do it alone. It’s more satisfying and if you’re not willing to do it alone you shouldn’t do it at all.
It served me well. Nothing like getting jumped and catching each man alone and seeing the look in their 👀 before you punish them. Then they know you a real one!☝️
Mecc and Bigga described the problem perfectly
No gossip just real life conversations that can change a kid or young adult ways, much respect to these dudes and oh yeah i’m 24 myself learning from y’all.
It's true that having a positive father makes all the difference. My son turned 18 he's in a University has never been rebellious or caused us a problem other than over sleeping. I didn't have mine and I was a handful on my mom so I made sure he knew he was loved.
Fathers are necessary. 🙌🏾❤️
Stable/complete family units are even more detrimental to our survival. 💯🙏🏾
@@Drando1989 Fathers are necessary but there’s plenty of men in the streets with fathers, who provided for the family.
Dam our story sounds the same except my son still in high school I didn’t have mine either so it was a must I’m here salute to u bruh and yea my son over sleeps too 😂😂 fucking kids man
T.I. punching the air right now
@@godofthisshit I don’t understand your reply….
being a father “in the streets providing” is cool, depending on what your definition of providing is, but being IN THE HOME with your woman and children is most honorable and rewarding long term.
If the streets are providing a way to GET BY….you’re not providing. You’re surviving and that’s what too many men and women are trying to escape from now. Survival mode.

Salute Bigga, example of don't open your mouth unless you got something wise to say. Bigga never dilutes jewels
This clip needs to be covered nationally. All Facts!!!
Agreed!!
Exactly‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
They got the real men having a conversation about our people it's needed and appreciated 💯
I agree with most of whats been said. I grewup without a father and the amount of time I was approached to sell drugs for someone or because of my size to learn how to bully someone was always an issue. My moms and my uncles always looked out for me and kept me away from that stuff. Strong male figures can make a real difference in life.
You definitely need a strong father figure bc the kid is most likely doom.
Hey math I salute you and the rest of the guys on this podcast I've been watching this show since day one do you think you can get banks on the show or 50 cent
💯
Yo this real shit right here, a lot of dudes gotta understand you can be from the streets and not be of the streets and adopt that street mind frame. The goal should be to get out I don’t know how it is now but that used to be the goal.
Damn Math.......salute brotha. This the type of talk that's needed. Jewels are being dropped in an entertaining fashion......Keep doin ya thing man
The show is getting more powerful by each clip... protect Math and his team and all costs 🔥 #salute
These difficult conversations need to be heard and discussed. There are so many layers to it. Props for this episode and letting everyone speak their POV
As a 80s baby I appreciate this conversation. Math need to turn this in to something like Teen Summit. The credibility of his character would reach mad kids out here.
Teen Summit, you took me back on that one. I agree we could benefit from that too.
Yes, that is a great idea! Both parents are essential, there is no way around that. As a young lady, who had a phenomenal mother, I still needed my father to protect and teach me. As teens my siblings and I were so upset that he was so strict, and dead serious about following the rules. He was so strict even the other Caribbean kids felt bad for us, but I’m so grateful for that now. He passed away when I was on my way to college, and I saw overnight just how differently the world perceived a house full of women. Guys trying to date us girls, who were previously too scared to call or come around when my father was home, were suddenly trying to come over and run things. My siblings would try to manipulate my mother, as she was grieving, in a way they would never dare to try with my father. Just his presence made all the difference. Our communities need parenting classes and mentorship. The youth desperately need a counterbalance for all the self hate that is manifesting itself in materialism, death, destruction, and despair. It’s not even close to what we need, but I think it’s still a good place to begin. Podcasts are a trend now, maybe podcasts bringing black people together can start trending, because the gender war podcasts offer nothing but isolation, death and destruction of what is left of the black family. If Black women are destroyed, then destruction awaits the Black man, and vice versa. One cannot exist without the other.
@@Msboochie2 I love you Queen. 1 of the realest comments I ever read 💐. Salute from a King
Yes this dialogue is most definitely needed in today's climate! It would be dope to see the same cast of guys revisit this same topic with a group of younger guys b/c we can definitely have a better understanding of what's the problem and figuring out a solution.
Yoooooo I'm an old head, but soon as Bigga's voice elevated, I sat up straight and tuned all the way in. Bro stay dropping jewels.
What the brother with the dreads said was so profound and it shows how backwards thinking our community is. Math I love you man your platform is incredible.
Yea they should have let him get all of it out. That’s the perspective least talked about imo

I love these type of conversations. That positive role model it's real, my moms sent me to live with my grandparents in upstate ny from Queens in 80s. My grandfather was no nonsense, every weekend had a routine up at 5 do what needs to be done. Taught me respect hats off when you walk threw that yes thank, no thank you, having integrity. Then when I got older moved back to Queens and was already programmed right from wrong, work for what you want, respect others and that's what I try to instill in my son now.
I love the different perspectives each of these brothas shared. Powerful discussion!

I can’t count on my fingers how many dudes I know got killed after they was woke up called out the house or just out the way. It’s sad
My cousin Q when I was 3. Was sleep. Homies (allegedly) came and woke him up to go fight some niggas. My aunt fought tooth and nail to keep him in the house. He snuck out. Later that night His father answered the phone to come identify his body at the crime scene. Still fucks them up to this day. This happened in 93.

What people don’t understand is Von was the muscle before rap. He was the action. It’s all he know it’s fun to him. He was so much with it regardless of being the Brand, he gotta put his own work in. Same reason him and Durk caught that case in the first place. He was Dmx in Belly. It’s who Von was.
And he is 6 feet deep
@@Dogen70 just like 🦆
Von was pigeonholed from the start in a cold way. his entire fame rested on his street rep. the whole world gravitated to him because he beat the body, because of all the media and sensationalist online rumors about his rep. his whole career, from the start, was based on being Mr #1 Savage, in an INDUSTRY based on being Mr #1 Savage. as soon as he got that label, the clock started ticking, like a game of King of the Hill. if it wasn't Lul Tim, it would've been someone else. it was a race to be the first to hoe him, rob him, or take his head clean off.

I absolutely love hearing my brothers, older gods and elders speak on these things in the community. Those of us who are commenting here are not necessarily the ones that need to "be reached", per se. These new rappers are dying en masse, as if we really haven't learned anything from the fall of all the previous rap kings to violence. The jewels handed out in this cipher need to be sublimated into the minds of every black man who wants to have a constructive impact on the culture--because while we building on the implications of our mistakes and traumas, these MAGAts is preparing for more virulent war on us: more mass incarceration to more public extermination. We need to reconcile with our mistakes, with each other, our culture, and legacy in an urgent way. This does help; one of the best posts I've seen on CZcams in any capacity. Be easy.
This is very important to remember that regardless of if father was there or not the respect level of the Men figures who spoke to us played a role in our decisions making process
