The Monarch, Granada, and Versailles, Very Good Reliable Car's.
In my high school drivers ed class we had Granadas and Monarchs donated from local dealers. None had a V8 with a 4 speed. Probably a good thing!

I was shocked,ive never saw a 4spd in one of these or a Granada,if its an after market it was did very well,im determined to find out for sure lol

That is a Monarch Sport, the package included the gold landau roof, gold spoked wheels and accents as well as several interior add-ons. I had a '76 Granada Sport, it's cousin.
what are the interior add ons you mentioned?
@@michaelbrown5037 specific buckets seats, I think the center console may have been upgraded, etc. It also had heavy-duty suspension and larger front brakes. That is all I can recall from 47 years ago when I ordered mine.
Wow, Monarch Sport ! 302 V8 , a rare bird here. Being a Malaise Era Ford collector this Monarch 302 on the stick makes this a desirable car for that niche market. She is straight, clean just gorgeous. Thank you
The 4-speed makes this car!
Looks very fine and fun to drive, shifting that 4 speed gear lever on the floor, helps for better fuel economy, rather than original 3 speed automatic one. One of Lee`s wisdom and automotive industry needs in that 70's trends, that one you know as "malaise era", funny nick name.
My older brother bought a 76 Granada Giha,it was beautiful,Red with 1/2 White vinal roof,it had ALL the options.But with a wife and 3 children it wasnt practical,and traded it the very next year.I Loved that car.
V8 that is a pleasant upgrade someone made thankfully and Brother to the Granada

I've never seen one of these with a stick that is a very weird plain dash
I'd ridden in several of these back in the day and not one had a manual shifter! LOL that dashboard was pure 1970's Ford for sure, everything they sold had some similar looking variation of it!
