Darren was in his mid-teens in this video. He's grown-up now, very tall, more handsome and with a deep voice. He covered Despacito and it became viral at one point. His latest stint was a duet with Morisette, singing Aladdin's "A Whole New World" (it has a wish bus and music video version courtesy of Disney PH). I recommend you watch it on your spare time (no need to react, just enjoy it).

He truly was incredibly young in that video...so young that puberty and it's accompanying voice change hadn't quite hit him yet. If you watch him singing/performing Phantom of the Opera, I'm betting you'll be...uhmm...pleasantly surprised by his range now that he's 18. I don't want to spoil things for you, but let's just say he doesn't just sing the parts you'd expect him to sing.

Wish 107.5 Bus has lots of real Live vocalist. Yes, Philippines was a colony of Spain from 1521 until the Revolution. That's why we had Spanish names. We also had American names because we were under American rule for sometime after the Spaniards. 🇵🇭💙👍

I saw Darren Espanto in Changi Airport (Singapore) last November 2, and he matures a lot! His voice is now in lower note register, but i bet he can still belt (but not as high as 6 yrs ago) 😊

Since you mentioned Jessie J you should also do some of her performances from The Singer 2018 (same competition show Dimash and KZ competed in). She actually won the whole thing which is a big deal for a western artist. “Purple rain” was my fave.

Hi Sam. Our Filipino names are almost similar to that of the Hispanic names. Even our skin resembles quite the same with all the Spanish people. The main reason is we were colonized by Spain for several hundred years. Christianity was brought by Spain to the Philippines. Thank you. Don.

Another is Gary Valenciano's version of "Spain". For some reason the only copy of that on CZcams is of very low resolution. It is on Daily Motion, but I don't know anything about using that.

You would love his Phantom of the Opera take in one of the concerts he joined. He is a grown man already now but his range is still tops. Will try to attach the link later in this comment. It will surely blow you away, honestly. It took me by surprise because I love the song and watched the musical many times. And it lends a lot for vocal analysis as you can see his tongue placements.
