Spinning Lego Tracks Fast! Big Explosion 4k

- Hey Everyone! A little experiment here and some fun!
How fast can you spin Lego technic Tank / Caterpillar Tracks?
The rig I’m using here users 22 powered up L motors and 10 powered Up Hubs. The same as I used for the spinning wheel Test 2.
Brace yourself for the huge explosion (for a Lego model..)
Incredible centrifugal force.
Thanks to the Subscriber Fish Finger for this idea! :)

Merry Christmas Everyone! Thank you for all the Subs, comments likes over the past year! I appreciate it so much!
I’ve been away on holiday so if I haven’t replied to a comment recently I do apologise! I couldn’t verify my account overseas on the two step sign in!
I’ll get back to making some vehicles very soon and continue the Tug of War series! (It’s doing so well view wise recently) The Golf Buggy is still waiting!
Thank you to everyone! 😀
am looking forward to vehicles again Gaz, the tech machines are awesome but I love the vehicles so much more. No quarantine hospital for you? have a great Christmas mate! 👍🤓🍺🇬🇧
Merry Christmas man hope you get lots of Lego from Santa to continue these crazy builds cheers🍻
i did smth like this but with a buggy motor
funny thing is that im quite sure my tracks have gone past that speed but didnt blow up :/
The 2 step sign in is such annoying useless bs that provides no real security and everyone hates it and it is usually enabled by default and can’t even be manually disabled. It’s the worst. It isn’t actually for users like they claim or else they would get rid of it. It is for them to prevent people making many accounts. Otherwise they wouldn’t do it anymore because it’s less secure than only having a password and everyone hates it.
Those mini figures looked like they crapped themselves on that ride! Hehe, I love your experiments, they always brighten my day. Merry Christmas ⛄🌲
Haha cheers for that Lee! They did have some super glue up their bum lol
They probably did because most of their brain matter would have been pushed out of their ears and eyes due to the aggressive G forces lol
😂
BRUH one of them was legit ripped in half
@@deeded4032 yeah, I feel bad for that guy.
That’s amazing!!! I love how the track looks like it’s creating a circle and then it blows up, very nice! It makes me wonder how fast a lego tank could go🤔
Hey Easton cheers! I need to buy some light weight batteries for this! Wound be cool to see with standard Lego!
I know I keep saying this but… the tug of war has gone bonkers again in a big way! Now it’s the sloths turn! 😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines lets go! It’s funny how that works isn’t it!
The CZcams algorithm is quite something!
Looking forward to a fast tank build and some snow here would be nice to go with it lol
You could reduce the centrifugal force between the track linkages by increasing the wheel diameter. That would increase the max theoretical speed of the track
Considering how fast that Lego track must have been going think about how fast the metal tank track would be able to go just imagine a tank going towards you at like 300 miles an hour at you
Now this would've been worthy of a Slo Mo Guys cameo! That was epic!
Hey thank you! I was looking at some of the cameras they use! You need a mortgage to buy one lol.
I’d love to see it too😀
It’s crazy how it just spontaneously explodes after a little while, but I guess I see the need to wear the glove then
Hey hey it made me jump out of my skin, it came as a shock the first time! I was trying to accelerate it really slowly.
I did catch my hand on it before and those tracks burn!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines oh wow, sounds like it hurt!
Actually wearing gloves can be far worse with high speed stuff. With raw flesh you may get skin ripped off, with gloves you can have entire hands torn off in worst case scenarios.
Now that's a rollercoaster I would ride
Hilarious how you put the Lego people on the track and spun them around! 50mph of track speed! Impressive!
Hey thanks Josiah I’m glad you liked that, had fun doing this one 😀
they're mind be like zoooomiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!
Great video 👍🏻 Surprised how well the figures at the end could hold on! Like the mix of being serious (proper instrument, trying to make it as fast as possible) and joking around. A bit like Mythbusters but better! And now you have a proper reason to upgrade your camera to a slow motion one 😉 The internet want to see these explosions in slow mo!
Hey there thank you very much! I’ve been looking at them recently, it may sting the wallet but will hopefully be worth it :)
0:23 This is pretty much the speed of a real life tank on concrete.
Hey great point! Cheers 😀
Isnt the math a bit off? Tracks arent round so one rotation of the axle doesnt rotate the tracks fully? You also dont measure speeds by the rotation of the axle but with the distance the medium (tracks / tires) has covered?
Hi I measured the track speed from the circumference of one revolution of the large sprocket wheel which I think is what you’re saying too. That’s how much ground the tracks cover with 1 rpm.
Then converted m/s to mph.
It’s correct😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines im not a native english speaker so im always a bit struggling when it comes to technical terms ^^ but thanks for the explenation!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines I'm splitting hairs here, but shouldn't you have taken the circumference of the large sprocket wheel plus the tracks? That would be slightly larger and thus slightly faster. I have no idea about the sizes, but it could be a significant difference (5 to 10% or so).
This literally like the question we all carry but never ask, *answered!* Merry Christmas and great video!
Hey thank you so much, Merry Christmas to you too 😀
You can't just create an egg-scrambler and leave us with a cliffhanger!
It’s my previous video! Sorry 😀
This was so fun to watch, those minifigs at the end made me augh my arse of!! Great video.
Hey there thanks for the comment! I’m glad you liked it 😀😀
Wow, I had been waiting
Merry christmas
Hey hey thankyou and Merry Christmas to you!😀
Thank you so much for your awesome projects and experimentation! I’ve learned so much watching these videos and love the different tools you employ and how you actually break things down and explain them (gear ratios and torque is my favorite) it is absolutely fascinating to watch some of your creations come to life. I’m a die hard fan. Keep up the outstanding work and as always I’m looking forward to your next video!
i like your attitude.. some other lego builders always act like bricks were some holy relics..
2:08 this what the fair ride feels like
i expected it to simply break at a single point
but instead it the track completely discombobulates! way more impressive
Already liked the video then the minifig torture part started and I just lost it. That is way more funny than it has any right to be.
Haha thank you so much Marcus I’m glad you liked it 😀
2:20 One hell of an amusement park ride!
Haha I love every type of ride but I think I would have to pass on that one 😂
Thrill park designers just had a "Hmm..." moment.
this has got to be the most satisfying lego video I've ever seen! :D I remember i tried this once and it didn't end to well...
😀😀 Hey hey Benen thank you that means a lot! I never expected it to just explode! I jumped out of my skin for a second lol.
Merry Christmas dude!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines merry Christmas to you too! :)
With that thumbnail there I actually thought you had attached the treads the other way. In fact, that way of attaching them could be used as a giant wheel. Have you ever considered making a monowheel?
Hey there! That’s a good idea! I’ve made something similar with tracks but I haven’t done a video on it yet! A mono wheel would be great!
Interesting idea about the giant wheel too, I’d like to see how strong that could be!
That could be useful 😀
I laughed my ass of watching that ride at the end, looked so brutal.
No one:
GBC modules on crack:
It’s cool how the track looks like a whole new state of matter. When it is spun fast, it gets whole new properties
Nice video I’ve been watching you from the start!😀
Hey Ryan thank you so much! I Really do appreciate it! I can’t believe how it’s grown! 😀
Don’t flinch, don’t flinch, don’t flinch… FLINCHED!
The end was the best part
Those two schmucks in the tire swing, "Well, this couldn't POSSIBLY be unsafe."
"Will it mash!" Brilliant!
Haha thank you
That was awesome
That looks like a coaster GSP would make, Love it
You know you’re doing something right when you accidentally create a Lego grenade.
Haha Matthew I’d be lying if I said I didn’t jump out of my skin for a second!
Interesting work!! I like it.
Hey hey thank you as ever! 😀
my eye balls got real big when you put the mini figs in there. 😳 like that would be one heck of a scetch ride IRL
Cool! Maybe it could work as a spring / rubber band? Also merry Christmas :)
Hey Alessio sorry for the late reply! Merry Christmas to you too! I had a break from my phone 😀
Interesting idea! I will play about with this a bit more cheers!
Running it in the first configuration with a little silicone lube would work great. Each one of the links in the chain are stealing a fraction of energy and if you lube them, it'll run much more efficiently.
🇨🇿 Hi
Super video 👍👍👍
Super test 👍😲😁
those motors must have cost a fortune!
Oh Snap!
Epic!
Thanks Nick Merry Christmas!
Those Minifigures do be getting some g's tho
You really love pushing Lego to the limits...
Even Alton Tower’s would say “Hell No!” To that ride.
The t3nsion is insane
2:12 the dawn of the greatest carnival ride ever!
😂😂
MADE IN HEAVEN!!!!
Video Idea: How much can a lego car Pull?
I’ve kind of done that but I will be testing new ones soon! Cheers 😀
Should try the metal version next
if you glue sand paper to the tracks you can get a belt sander.
It’s a good idea! I will try something like this soon cheers 😀
Got that little track to go faster than an actual tank
"Hey sweetie. That looks like a fun, safe ride. Wanna go?"
"Sure!"
*Dead*
Lol these LEGO minifigs are so reckless about the situation in 0:54
Could you creat something that spins a something FAST (like the LEGO ninjago arjitzu spinner) and then you shoot it up
You are achieving like 5000 rpm so that
Could go really high
That would be awesome!
Hey Daniel cheers for that! I’ll look into it! I love the idea!😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines thanks!
If I could somehow attach this to my rpm machine and spin it at 30,000 rpm plus it would be quite something! I will also look at other Lego blades to make maybe a mini helicopter which works in a similar way.
Thanks again!
2:15 every rct3 roller coaster when you put launch at 150 mph
Haha I loved those games! Memories :)
The lego mini figs face says it all 😂🤣🤣
Brilliant XD
Thank you very much 😀
Awesome!
Cheers Caleb😀
that cliffhanger tho
That exploded
Merry Christmas and I never thought tracks would have a limit, good to know
Hey Chris Merry Christmas to you too! Have you any Lego coming? I saw you had some buwizz motors! I await something fast!!!
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines Yes on that Christmas wishlist!
2:40 "Sick. As. A. Dog."
New type of train mechanism inbound
the gloves. 🙂 that's how you become an engineer, kids. you learn proportion and risk and all sorts of good stuff. but you wear gloves and eye-pro anyway!🙂
Imagine a LEGO tracked vehicle going 30 mph.
I’ll see what I can get one upto with standard Lego control +! Maybe 10-15 mph 😀
You created an amusement park ride
2:08 Worst rollercoaster ever.
Minifigures "We're in danger"
😂
I just imagine the mini figures at the end screaming help HELP
Now thats what i call cat-astrophic failure
Pov: you are walking down a carnival and u see this as a ride
"We have to keep the bus at under 50 MPH or the track will explode"
my guy about to break atom in the next video with lego
THANK YOU for using my idea gaz. its means a lot, i loved the bit where it broke into a million pieces, in less than a second.
thanks agen gaz. merry christmas to you.
Hey Fish no problem and it scared the life out of me when it exploded! I was just glad I had two eyes afterwards haha. Thanks for the ideas and Merry Christmas to you too 😀
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines maybe you need to wear some eye protection when you do things like that. And congratulations on 60k.
Hey thanks! I was to one side other than my arm but I naively never thought that would happen!!!
I also asked, my intentions from the beginning were to see it explode
And I got my request, seeing it explode
Id love to go on one of those rides
Always wanted to know what brain slushy in the top of my skull felt like
0:53 She seems to like it
Thats quite realistic with around 80 kph with tracks
Nobody:
Me in War Thunder when there is a Milk Truck:
right at 1:30 a firework went of outside my house, and the track exploded, i felt something in my azz, almost shit myself
😂😂 I had a similar feeling when it happened
2:41 lego man says: please no... not again. This is suicide!!! 😂😂😂
Can you do a video on how much weight can legos pull. For example, all those motors you’re using to spin that. Can they pick you up with decent gearing?
I will do this! Only thing is it comes down to gearing more than power in a way.
But I will be doing some extreme pull test with vehicles as well :)
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines Awesome, good luck!
Lmao last clip
Actually jump scared me lol
Lol it did me 😂
LEGO Technic Track 1 looks too intense for me!
😂
Dammit!
You did it again!
You're _really_ trying to warp time, huh?
Haha I like it, I’ll make a big looping track in the next video! You never know…😀
The top speed would be drastically effected by any kind of weight putting torque through it
2:30 negative G force: yes
😂
2:26 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The structural frame looked like it was about to shake its self to death with the off balance treads
Yeah I guess you noticed I also forgot to put pins in one of those bars which didn’t help lol
Omg one of them teared apart :O :((. The other lost its cup of coffee :(( omg XD
cool! that's not how you measure speed..but cool!
interesting! 👍🍺🍺🍺
Hey Carl I hope you’re having a few of those now!!
We need to meet for a Tug of War next year! I’m happy to travel😀🍺🍺🍺
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines
Hiya Gaz, my heavy HG models are no more but I have an interesting full metal 4x4 that may be a challenge. If we were being silly and money wasn't an object then the Humvee I got rid of would be a mega contender. Trouble is off-road criteria is massively different to pulling. I could do a build that is awesome off-road but crap at pulling... and vice versa. I wanna keep it fun, 'cos I don't actually enjoy winning as much as I do the competition! sooner see you won fairly than to play the metal gear advantage. I admire what you do and the only fair competition would be Lego Vs Lego... I'm gonna give this some thought. Would you like to set some limits? problem is I don't have 1/10 the Lego you have!! maybe set the rules at one motor, and unlimited weight?!!! we should PM. Great to hear from you anyway 🤓
Holy 💩!! Not only was that a fun video but it was funnier than, well, you know the thing…
2:10 FEED THEM SPINACH before you start
I have the same mini lego figure
Ah, the Torso Remover 9000!
cool!
Hey hey Merry Christmas! I’ve been watching your vids whilst on holiday! I was signed out of my account due to two step verification so couldn’t comment!
I love the balloon wheels are you trying that on water?
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines no they popped but i will trie styrafoam though!
Oh great will be interesting to see!
make a loftstrom loop!
Those poor guys probably couldn’t even imagine how their trip to amusement park will end up
😂😂
Have you looked at the SPMT 100 axle vechile again? I asked some time ago but it is very difficult to build a big one and expensive.
Hi there I think someone built a very good on it’s one CZcams I think. I’d need to get so many more parts though :(
