29:42 "It's so simple the way it's done; it's just done in a creative way." That pretty well sums it up. Microsoft has been providing this box of digital Legos for almost 20 years now. Now... back to trying to figure out how to make a by-person onboarding checklist without opening up my collector's-edition box of Access.

HI Laura - only recently stumbled on your videos which are great - thanks. You mention in this one about using PA to create Tasks from a List for a new joiner. I don't think you can create Outlook Tasks for other folks in PA - is that right? Am guessing the Tasks you mention are for Planner? I realise this was 2 years ago so big ask on your memory :)

Yes, they are planner tasks. Also, you could create a list and called "tasks" and "assign" them to people by creating a column called "assigned to" etc.

I can't leverage the Look Book templates due to our GCC High environment. So now I need to develop my own Onboarding team site. Any suggestions on reengineering the look & feel of these templates?

Yes just go through each of your pages and add all the same web parts that I showed in my demo, and configure them the same way manually.

@@WonderLaura where can I download the PDF that show all the web parts?

It used to be here. lookbook.microsoft.com/
Maybe they don’t provide that PDF download anymore.

@@WonderLaura Thanks so much!! Actually, I learned so much by reengineering instead of just using their template. Just one question though. The checklist should be associated with the new onboarding person. It's a basic one to many (person to checklist items). What I'm missing is the container instance that represents the person. From a business perspective, I have two to three persons being onboarded at the same time. I want the checklist (SharePoint List) associated with that specific person. Does that mean I have to create a new list entity for each person? what am I missing?

Hi Laura, as usual, once I write out my problem I then figure out a solution. Perhaps I should have written this out before hitting the Reply Button. Anyway in response to my previous question, the solution is related to assigning the tasks in the onboarding lists. I'm thinking what's missing the ability to assign the Checklist's tasks to the new hire. Then you would create/modify the views to only show assigned tasks for that individual.
