+NotSo Handso It's not 4 years in the making, according to Cage when this demo was first released it wasn't with the intention of it becoming a full game. It was later that he played with the idea and pursued it.
+NotSo Handso Actually as Oboyy stated is was initially a demo to demonstrate the game engine for Heavy Rain - But even if it wasn't it would be 6 years now (and counting) - As auditions were bk in 2010 and can only imagine when the writing started

It could be a game about a household android who hides the fact that, unlike the others, can form emotional bonds. this could be a game that questions the lines between humanity and technology, for instance, when does a machine "feel"?

This young woman is an amazing characterizer, her acting is superb and you can see in her eyes that she can summon up the sensations that she should have for the moment as the person she becomes, actually feeling the things she acts to the point where it doesn't feel like she's acting. this game made me cry, but not only because of the amazing story. The hourers of work, the detail , the thoughts behind them the team , the love they gave in all this, to create something so beautiful and breathtaking. This game is seriously the best game on earth.

The fact that this has not been expanded on is a huge oversight on the part of Quantic Dream and Sony Entertainment as a whole. They may not have intended for anything such as this to catch our attention, or for it to be anything beyond a test run to show off their new engine but the humanity portrayed and the possibilities of this character in the future are astounding. I truly hope that Kara is not forgotten and that perhaps the next gen system will give this wonderful story a new life.

I watched the Kara video as a little kid and cried, but now I realized that the Kara you see there is the same one in Detroit: Become Human. I'm almost 16 now, but I watched this when I was nine or ten. It's just amazing when you think about how far technology has come in the last six years.

I was still very new to Quantic Dream when I played Detroit- so I was a little surprised when I found out that the characters were actually scanned from their original actor/actresses - and all I could think about was how the actor for Mr. DropDead Gorgeous Markus was a real life Mr. DropDead Gorgeous.

KARA is the whole motion sensor, voice acting, computer software process they do do bring a character to "life" (one might say).
This video is one of the best I've ever seen. Good job. Well written, acted, and animated.
This is a beautiful piece of work. Truly amazing stuff. She conveys such emotion that this piece clearly stands apart as a work of originality and beauty. It's easy to see why they cast her, though I would have loved to see some of the other candidates for the role out of interest.

Quantic Dreams did not make "Last of Us", they made "Beyond" and that is where some of the tech was used

Who is watching it in the day last days of 2017 and damn hyped for it's released.
Why does she look exactly like Curie from Fallout 4 - same EXACT hair style, facial features, and the filming is in Paris (Curie is French) and the actress's name is Valerie CURRY (like, are you kidding me?) And to top it all off, they are both androids, Curie's synth form looks exactly like this and they are both ROBOTS WHO THINK. Honestly.

plot looping maybe? The idea for "Kara" (machines gaining consciousness and ability to feel and think on its own) isn't anything new, it's been on films that are more than a decade ago, like "Bicentennial Man"

0:34 I know that's real but this game reached such level of realism that at certain shots you can question if it is the actors or the animation. I think it might have to do with the "lighting" effects. The colours and tones look spot on.
