I love how he doesn't take hands off her so that she's continuously supported, but they do it in a way that sticks to the dance and the mood.
Way to go Selma! As a disabled person myself, the way she faces her disability with such grace moves me to tears.
I am also disabled myself. I have ADHD for over 20 years. I am forgetful all the time. Last year I end up quitting my job because of my issues with understanding and focusing. People treated me so horrible last year. I had an ex treating me like shit. Last year my ex told me that because of my disability I should never have any children be happy with someone while we were on vacation. Because of those people that hurt me & belittled me, I can’t forgive anyone.
I also have a disability too, I have Down Syndrome

She is so courageous. Selma is a shining light for all disabled people to keep trying; and never give up.

Yes, I wish it was longer as well. They probably need to keep it shorter for her. All the practising would be draining for her. She did an amazing job 😭😭🥰🥰

I don't cry at this kind of thing. But I was literally bawling when I saw this! She could not have picked a better pro for her! Sasha never took his hands off her, she was able to brace herself to him, all while looking so elegant. Very proud of them both!

THANK YOU very much for posting. I had not heard that Selma was a part of this season's lineup on this long running series (I don't watch much network TV anymore). I've always been a huge fan of Selma's and just yesterday I spent most of my time at our local Barnes & Noble browsing thru her new autobiography ("Mean Baby"). A totally fascinating read ! My admiration for her knows no bounds. She is a truly classy lady. BEAUTIFUL (inside and out) !
I know she is an actress but her emotions in just those first few seconds holding then releasing the cane *SOB* exquisite. The song was a perfect fit as is Sasha as Selma's partner. Lovely just lovely. HOpe she goes far and her body lets her. Her mind and heart want to for sure. That final floor spin from back to seated was so effortless and lovely.

We really miss watching DWTS. It needs to be on regular TV cable. Watching this on the internet is extremely choppy and loses a lot of the charm!
