Dig it! It's not all just sticks and skins and inner metronomes goin' tucka-tucka-tucka, plomp-plomp. It's the fervent archetypal images Jung Drummer evokes from a performance that rumble and flow in synchronicity with the collective unconscious of the anima/animus within a beat. And in the meantime, he challenges himself. Sir, you are an artiste!
So enjoyable, Mr. Jung ... This song was one of my favorite tunes of the 90's and you've added such a fun vibe to it ... The right hand technique on the hats is pretty incredible (Buddy Rich-esque) ... And those big-ass hits on the snare and on the toms (so open and filled with so much air) kind of blew me away ... . ... p.s. the ending note gave me a big smile; nice touch!
Well done. I’m twice your age and learned a lot tonight! I’m playing this song Friday night in my local town and needed a refresher. Thanks for the help. Hello from Lindsay Ontario Canada
Hey Jung! Really accurate cover I don't think there's any better on here. I was wondering how your signal chain is for recording all your drums... Is it Drum mic -> Mixer -> interface -> daw/computer? Also I'd like to know if you're using a power amp on that mixer. Thank u so much!
Hey HJ! (dying about your name!) When I recording this, I was using mics into a mackie mixer (eq pan on each track) - ran L/R mains out into an interface (2 channel L/R scarlet focusrite) and recorded into garage band as one stereo track. I've upgraded this week to a tascam us 16x08 which will allow me to record 8 tracks into garage band or any DAW and ditch the mackie. - allowing me for more control and mixing for all my mics. all mics will have their own track instead of having to do a single stereo premixed track. that is ok...but I always struggled with how many times the audio gets compressed with the tune I'm covering. hope that makes sense!
