Incredible city. It's scary to think that Guangzhou, the massive city that it is, is literally interconnected to Foshan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Macao, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan.
It's almost like one enormous super city.

I am proud of my German passport as l can stay in China for 78 hours without visa landing in certain cities, Guangzhou is one of them. In 2016 l visited Guangzhou a few times, while travelling to and from South Korea, and it was wonderful. I did not stay in the immediate City, rather in a Hotel & and Convention Centre next to the White Mountain entrance, and l enjoyed every minute walking around there, looking over Guangzhou and the Pearl river from the top of the mountain, and visited ancient famous residences. The people were very gentle, calm, and friendly, and l had many warm conversations about lifestyles, traditions, and education matters. I felt welcomed, and extremely safe as a single woman traveler.
I have to confess, l don’t like City crowds, so l stayed on the Mountain, and Parks. It was heavenly.

Actually, the White Mountain is called Baiyun Mountain, and l stayed in the nice Easeland Hotel at the South Gate of the Park. My balcony faced the mountain beautifully. I walked all up the way to the Lock-Sculpture, and down again in 32 degrees, but l was happy with the views, the exotic trees, bushes, flowers, plants on the road side, which was paved up to the top, people exercised, or played games. On the way back l used steep little stony-sandy paths, which were not easy to walk down. I also visited the Chen family ceramic residence, which was also impressive. I am still in awe of my unique experience in Guangzhou. I would love to be back there and explore Guangdong. China is vaste with too many mega Cities, landscapes to visit in one lifetime. Melbourne looks like a 20 century town compared to China’s Cities. I am not putting Melbourne down, as l like small towns and villages. l am just stating a fact. Thank you. Unfortunately the average Chinese do not have personal space awareness. They can walk into you carelessly. I am Chinese sometimes even I feel uncomfortable. Otherwise most Chinese cities are very livable.

One of my favorite cities ever. It has history, commerce, a modern style, landscapes, food, young people attracted by job oportunities, fun and leasure, an international spirit. This is one of the places where one must remain for some time if you are a foreigner in China, and explore it in depth. Watching from Spain🇪🇦

Guangzhou is truly a magnificent city. It has so much to offer from fine cuisine, to tasty street food, big and modern shopping malls and crowded pedestrian shopping street. I love the older architecture that is so well preserved. The skyline is truly the best in China if not one of the best in the world. This city has one of most developed infrastructure. Bravo Max for an excellent journey.

I'm so glad I found your channel! I live in Hong Kong and have traveled all over China since 2009. The development since that time has been phenomenal! When the fast train was complete from Kowloon West to Shenzhen I took one of the first rides and could hardly believe how quiet the city was when I got off the train, due to buses and taxis being electric. They make a big difference in reducing noise pollution as well as air pollution. Recently I have traveled more to Guangzhou and it is my favourite city in China. I love the rich history with it being the first international trade area along the Silk Road. I was just there for a concert at Xinghai Concert Hall last week and it was fabulous, not only the artist and the venue but the people. The audience really shows their enthusiasm and appreciation for the performer and it is appreciated both by myself and the artist. The service in the restaurants and hotels is also wonderful. That's what really makes me fall in love with a place more than anything, the people. I've been to quite a few places you've featured in this video and see I have a lot more to explore. You videos mean a lot to foreigners because Google Maps cannot be used to get street views there and I like to get an idea about a place before I go to be sure I really have a good travel experience. I also appreciate the details you include in the description and the time stamps for different areas. Well done!
