Ohhh weee this episode got me all the way together. I have let comparison kill me from starting a business. I felt comfortable by staying in the background of other people’s businesses. When I think about it I have helped many people in theirs but put mine dwindled. I thought I wasn’t good enough! That stops NOW! I can do all things through Christ. I’m about a week out from my 27th birthday and I want to spend this next year (and beyond) focusing on the ventures God has placed on my heart. I’m pretty tired of the constant loop of procrastination that comes with the comparison trap and watching others do the things I wanna do when I can put that energy towards actually doing them! Something I have to constantly remind myself of is that everyone’s journey is different and the highlight reel is not the full story. Thank you again!

Comparison is a tool; I can either use it to continue in a limited or victimized mindset, or I can leverage it as evidence of what is already available to me in abundance/what God desires for me to have. This was so profound. I have often compare my finances , experiences, career and I realize it comes from insecurity. A feeling of lack when in reality God has given me everything I need. I have to operate in it and soon the very things I aspire to obtain will happen. .Often times I viewed it as wrong ,but this is a great perspective. Use it as a lesson to teach you how to adjust things in your life to ensure you are satisfying your needs. Also, count the cost of the blessing that you are asking for. Such a great lesson. That was AMAZING!!!! 😊I compare myself to other stay at home moms who have perfectly clean homes and question my worth and value because my house is not as clean or perfectly decorated as theirs! Not knowing that they may have support or help around their house with their children, or they may not be as present as I am with my new baby girl, or they may not be as in tuned with their bodies and may not be as healthy as I am. I am not willing to trade in sleep (waking up at 4 am) to clean my house as I have a newborn. But that does not mean that I am less worthy to be a stay at home mom or wife. I can choose when I would like to clean my house 😉🥲keeping my health and being present with my baby and myself and my husband most important! Thank you so much for this video 🤗

Thank you for sharing about comparison. It spoke to me deep down I have made every excuse not to do what I’ve dreamed of mainly because of finances and because I often compare myself to others. And thank you for giving me a good talking to about taking care of my body. My husband is a caretaker and often times chooses a relaxing date night so I can rest because I don’t.

My husband has been struggling with gambling addiction for over 4 years now (I’ve known about it for 2.5 years). It’s been emotionally and physiologically draining. I’ve consistently prayed for his deliverance and recovery and encouraged him to get in community to help him overcome his addiction. He refuses to get the help he desperately needs, and it’s hurting him, our marriage, and our family. I question how long should I wait for him to get free or should I leave if he continues down the addiction path. I love my husband and desire to honor God and our vows, through sickness and in health, but I’m struggling 😢 Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
I remember a while back I was comparing my fitness journey with other people's online and I felt like God straight up asked me, "If I gave you that type of body, would you want it? I said No. Turns out I was comparing myself with something that I don't even want in the first place. Thanks for this video Chrystal. Comparison is the thief of joy.
This is punching me in the heart and stomach so hard that I almost wanted to cut it off but I couldn’t. So much fear wrapped around if I’m being greedy or taking what God’s given me and using it in “secular” ways…. I have created several journals and biblical workbooks that are on Amazon platform, with no sales, nevertheless, I haven't begun marketing, due to comparing myself to other prominent figures. But what I did, and helped , was getting away from social media, and meditate in what I have, and be thankful. Was a time of deep reflection to be focus on things that really matter. Glad I did.
