Honestly deep cut have the best songs and bizarrely their song make me a little nostalgic it’s bizarre because I have never heard their song before but I don’t know the sound of it is weirdly nostalgic
I’m glad to say I’ve experienced all fests and special feats this far (minus world premiere, was still figuring out if I wanted the game. But I spectated!) Been with Splatoon 3 since 1.0.0, and am so excited for the next two fests, including Grand Festival. Deep Cut changed the way I think about Splatoon. I was with it since release, but never got into the franchise until the release of Splatoon 3. But when I heard anarchy rainbow, my now most favorite song of all time, it completely changed. I got the game on my birthday weekend (Sept 14th), the same weekend that Grand Fest is happening this year. It’s really come full circle for me.

My favorite is Frosty Fest! Followed by Summer Nights Splatoween The original And Springfest None of these songs are bad! These are all just AMAZING! Its mainly based on which ones I tend to return too, I love them all so much!!

My ranking: 5. Summer Nights: I don't like some of the harmonic choices, it feels like the composers struggled to fully turn the song into a major key. They really tried and the instrumental is amazing and has a ton of little flourishes to try to sell it, but this version never fully worked for me and the chorus feels really jarring at times. 4. Springfest: Changing the time signature to 6/8 is a really cool idea, and I think they did a good job changing the genre. The chord changes in the chorus are also great. But I don't think it's as fun to listen to or memorable as the other versions. 3. Frostyfest: I love the chord choices here, especially in the chorus. It doesn't really feel like a festival, though, its a lot more laid back and doesn't go as "all out" as the other themes. That's not necessarily a problem, but in the context of the game it could have been better. 2. Original: You can't really go wrong with this. It has the advantage of being the original, every other version of the song is reliant on defying the expectations set by this version. It's an amazing song, and there are no weird compositional choices since they didn't have to reharmonize anything. 1. Splatoween: This version is perfect. The chorus feels jarring, but that's on purpose this time. The little post-chorus section is especially awesome. It doesn't have as drastic changes as the other versions, but in this case every little detail works perfectly. I'm maybe a bit biased because this came with the hype that special splatfests were a thing and they would have new music, but I think this version still stands on its own. That being said, these are all super close and I can see my ranking changing. The fact that they did this at all is an amazing amount of effort, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to reharmonize a song like this.

I liked how they composed the chorus, but it just sounds like an average spooky song to me. (Post chorus was amazing though) 3. The OG- No issues from me it's a really good song. 2. The frosty fest track holds a special place in my heart of all these versions, as it was my favorite special splatfest! It was so cozy and cute, and I loved the colors and costumes. When I was playing it, it was snowing outside and I was at a friend’s place drinking hot cocoa! But besides all that, I just think the song is awesome. :D

Arguably the Summer Nights version is the best of all. When I heard it I knew it couldn’t be topped and that it’d be most people’s new favorite. And that simply makes it the GOAT. Nintendo really went all out on the final seasonal Anarchy Rainbow and it shows. It may even be better than the original Anarchy Rainbow, something that kinda pains me to say because I love the original so much and had been my favorite up until now.
