In most of Europe, atheists are the norm. All the churches where I am are closed down as everybody stopped going. They are now useful things like pubs and flats. Christianity is dead where I come from.

Tom is a member of the Scientistlog I would not be friends with an of them if they don't believe people don't need to go to church if you have true Faith but should go to Church most of them probably was Baptized as a child
I think atheist is a word used too often. They probably believe in the afterlife but not the nonsense and contradictions that make up the bible

I have had a few friends that were atheists. One was end of life due to cancer. A few months be for he passed he found God. I guess it's easy to live life with no spiritual rules and then looked to be saved at the last minute.
Which God did he find? Where did he find this God?
@@bobhubson8511 people find God all of the time. Look at Russel Brand. Got baptized recently. It’s not uncommon just like it’s not uncommon for people to abandon religion

Very, very simple and straightforward questions.
@bobhubson8511 for those people it was out Lord and savior Jesus. Where they found him? That's a question only each individual can answer. Some people are touched spiritually in many ways. Some on their death bed. My neighbor had a heart attack and said he levitated above his body while he was being revived. Do I go around preaching to people about God? No. Why? Because they have to find God organically. Me telling someone they need God is not as powerful as one who find the spirit of God. Russell Brand, Deion Sanders, etc. Have all found God in their own way.
@LV-1969 I actually have the exact same sentiment about personal testimonies. For the person who experiences it, of course it's life changing.
For everyone else... a few may be moved, but generally not and why should they? Could be made up. Could be a cry for attention. Could be legit. Could be anything.
That is in fact why I know the Bible and all other scriptures are complete nonsense. It's a collection of personal testimonials (supposedly) by unknown authors, edited and revised and nobody even knows how it was decided which books of the Bible (the 66) made the cut.
I am open to a personal experience. Totally open, and the creator of the universe would know exactly what sign would be effective to me. Would not have to be big or bombastic. Me reading a bedtime story to my kids and suddenly turning the page to find "It's me. God. The Bible God, today is (real date) hi (my name) please take the sacrifice of my son seriously!" instead of the hungry caterpillar. That would do it.
No hint of a sign yet. Certainly don't buy a single word of the Bible or any other scripture, because as you said... other people's testimonies. We'll see.
So, this is how this 'soul selling' bunch of nothings became famous...
