MAYA ANGELOU... what a beautiful, fascinating lady!
These interviews are so delightful. The interviewer, too, was so clearly charmed by her 😊
Love their chemistry. The humor, affection and respect between them. She's a wonderful story teller.
Wogan was a great interviewer. And she had such a beautiful voice 🙂
Amazing woman ❤
My God, what a phenomenal woman, indeed!
What an inspiration!
What a wonderful lady. Great interview.
Such an incredible woman!
That voice 😍
Ethereal
What an incredibly intelligent and brilliant woman. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is brilliant. I watched this interview back in 1985 when it was first shown. Back then, watching Terry Wogan's interviews, I always thought that he had a racist attitude to non-white people, and I remember at the time being quite struck at how much he liked Maya Angelou.
Just beautiful ❤️
A phenomenal woman, indeed.
How so? Her 'poetry' was very mediocre to say the least. What made her phenomenal, other than a title she picked?
@@rnw2739 Rather or not her poetry is deemed “mediocre” is subjective; you either value it, or you don’t. There’s no accounting for tase or intellect. Outside of her literary works, her political activism places high value. Her scholastic career and her wealth of knowledge, places high value. For this woman to achieve her goals, at a time where her skin color and her gender presented unfathomable obstacles, yes, she was a “phenomenal woman.”
I really fancy Terry Wogan.
Back then he had a bit of a 1970s Eurotrash look about him.

Should say here lol.
sounds like a bloke , is it a bloke ?
Yeah that's how she gave birth to a child by being a bloke. Use your brain dude
You'd type like a scab are you a scab
because Parson (Clergyman) comes from greek Persona ,meaning the performing Actor, the disguised , the hidden hand , the master of the stage or simply one whom is best at deception ?
Your comment makes no sense. If you'd actually listened to what she was saying you'd know that she got pregnant at the age of 16, so obviously she wasn't a bloke.
@@Tim.WeaverThat's pure transphobia. Men can indeed get pregnant and for you to claim otherwise is utter transphobia lol.
*This is MLK's better interviews*
