Crazy Amounts Of Beef JUMBO HOT POT Boat Noodles (in Chiang Mai, Thailand)

- The famous Central Thailand noodle dish of "Boat Noodles" are a delicious combination of rice noodles with a pork-blood based, herbal and rich broth. Traditionally served from a boat (like the name), in Bangkok these will often still be quite small (and its also fun to stack bowls up, eating up to a dozen small bowls per person!). Up here in the north, we are so lucky to have a STUNNING version so close to our house at KUAY TEAW REUA MEAUNG TONG. They serve not small, but actually gigantic bowls of noodles, while using the same classic rich broth recipe that people all over Thailand now love.
Li and I are here on a rainy afternoon, with a mission to brighten to day with a feast of noodles for lunch. This restaurant has a special "Big Beef Hot Pot," and we are going to spend the afternoon enjoying THIS with YOU!!

Problem here in the USA is they concentrate on "fast food"... It's all about that instant gratification.. (I don't partake in fast food anymore, makes me ill) Y'all seemed to get the food in a timely fashion and on top of that it's fun and interactive... And looking very very scrumptious, I love the wide flat noodles... And the dessert, I need to find some of that, my weakness is for Coca-Cola 🤓

Ok, answering your comment a bit, yes we (well, ok Li, but I obviously get a lot of happiness from her so yes, WE!) we are very lucky to live in ASIA where noodles are abundant haha, but ok yes Thailand does a pretty great job with this exact recipe as well. Of all the mainstays (I would also call this fast food, but its just kinda funny that because its noodles it somehow seems different), this one is really, really fun. Always fun to go for!!! but yes definitely not a daily food.

OH, W0W! Another Boat Noodle place to add to the list! Thanks for letting us in on this! I did not know about this place at all! Gotta' love the giant boat in the middle of the room, just in case you're not sure you're in a Boat Noodle place!! Li knows how to do it right; put a bunch of that fresh Basil and bean sprouts in right before eating.(Oh! Now I see you explaining that to us, too, thanks. It's an important part of the flavor. ) I still would love to take you-all to my favorite (so far[!?]) Boat Noodle place up in Baan Kat/Mae Wang! Yes; rain season is pretty spectacular here. We have an element of fear that goes with as, there is a Khlong,(canal) like, RIGHT next to our house. So, when those big rains start roaring, we start praying extra hard. Thanks for including some Khanom Wan (dessert) for us sugar addicts. Grass Jelly! not my 1st choice but, yes, cooling! Khanom Toowii, the custard in the tiny bowls, is the authentic Boat Noodle dessert.
