@@2xenn Raikou (Maelstrom mod)’s desperation phase and the Rift Denisen (Polarities) involve the boss going into the background to fight you. Technically Moon Lord also does this as well, but in a way less cool way.

I absolutely love the second fight. Ares’ lightsabers are both hilarious and amazing. The Twins’ solo phase is really nice, especially with the baby blender. And the final phase is just beautiful.
I love teleporting out of Ares’ attack ranges and Draedon says ‘How foolish, you cannot escape’ and then kills me in real life
Damn these bosses and the visuals are beyond the charts this is not just a showcase of the exo mechs new attacks and stuff it is a true work of art

I love that detail where when artemis starts doing the fast laser beam, the skies of the background have alot of lightning, as if the electric powered beams were so powerful that it charged the sky as well, shaking the entire storms

Hats off to the calamity devs and the infernum devs for making an experience hard to replicate (quality-wise) and for giving me a song a soundtrack usable nearly anywhere.
Wow... this is absolutely stunning!! The fight is insane! Ares's Blade attack with Thanatos is SUPER hard for me to dodge in the berserk phase. A little tip from me: When Ares is in his final phase, You can keep flying in one direction, the lasers from his canons in this phase are not very predictive, watch out from the falling debris though. And dude... your editing... Holy crap. It's SO damn impressive and it blows me away! I hope to become as good as you one day. :) Great video as always Myra!

Certainly a cool fight. The Exo Mechs were already the best boss pre 1.9, and this update seems improve them even further!
The twins used to be the least interesting of the 3, but now have a much more refined and fluid moveset that really makes them feel more special. Plus, their final attack is a certain improvement on the old version.
Ares's cannons are pretty basic and vanilla esc (in terms of Calamity), but those swords are *SO* cool. A part of me wished he could combine the powers of his swords and guns together for an attack or two, like energizing his weapons using their individual properties or something. By far the coolest of the three, just for those attacks alone (he also has the best desperation attack as well.)
Thanatos just looks fun to fight, and seems to mesh well with the other mechs. His solo moveset really feels like Infernum DoG done right, mixing in much more attacks between his dashes and having a more refined movement. Even if not the best worm on its own, his interactions with the others are great and he feels truly menacing. My only issue is that his desperation attack feels pretty underwhelming compared to the other two, but still not bad either.
Overall, the Exo Mechs are still the best boss in Infernum, which is to be expected. I love how the boss gives you multiple choices throughout the fight that make major differences in the battle, resulting in around 6 or so total ways for the boss to go down. Combined with some cool attacks, strong cohesion and pretty visuals, it deserves the praise it gets.
Feel like they are that their the best stage possible right now. But there's always room for more improvements
I agree with you on Thanatos’ final attack. I would much rather him circle around the player and maybe do some sort of blender/ bullet hell inside, like a more extreme version of what he does in the Ares + Thanatos combo blender.
@@MyraTerrariaOfficial Yeah, they certainly could be better. Some things could be improved, and I honestly still wished there was some sort of Mecha-Mayhem version of them that had an extended fight, letting you go through everything in one gauntlet. That being said: The mod is dead, so I do not expect anything more.
@@AdamantSteele Eh, I feel the blender thing is kinda old now. A good few bosses in Infernum use it at this point. I would've preferred some sort of attack that takes advantage of the boss's huge amount of firepower, as all it does rn is just dash at you like normal with some added lasers.
Thanatos could use his long body to trap you or create area denail of sort then fire stuff at you. Perhals that could be interesting
more terraria bosses need to attack from the background and foreground also infernums exo mechs theme is so fantastic

The foreground is very iffy due to how hard it is to see that coming. However, I am certainly not opposed to background attacks.
Catastrophic Fabrications has been out for a while, but was made as a passion project with CD was making the OST. Tbh, I think C.F. will still be superior :p

Not only the fight, this whole video is absolutely beautiful. I love the buildings (where draedon appears and the ending one), I love the montage and tge arena. And of course the fights - what is specially good is that each one has its own very interesting stuff, my favourite one was ares' red blast which fit with the music fragment here and that made it even better

I always wanted my videos to have a story of some sort instead of just randomly fighting bosses just because. Everything gotta have its reasoning, begining and end right?

But this one is almost like there was a story but when I look at this video, I said like "Oh dear, this video is almost like a story. How about I extended it by adding and making my own backstory, their team name and timestamp in order to help people and make it better". And then this created. It's literally impossible to see this type of comment but I'm one of them. Your videos literally made me play Terraria. I enjoy your type of Terraria Content where you just made like custom/random challenges and make them some have a storyline. But you know what the shocking part is? i love this, makes fight so much better than base calamity. in base calamity it fun but this completely changes the gameplay loop of just holding down and right lol
I really enjoyed the Infernum fight against the Exo Mechs. I did find it easier than the original but I think that’s because I played through revengeance calamity first. I really love the changes to Ares though. The blades and the instakill feature if you leave the blender beam area makes him a much more dangerous threat.

Lore Accurate Exo Mechs Be Like:
The Ares + Thanatos combination was just the greater version of Skeletron Prime + The Destroyer combination.
I feel that terreria calamity has an awesome story. Throughout playthroughs you go to Draedon's labs and discover who he really is. And now that you finnaly fight him and his mechs, you slowly get closer and closer to the only human to ever fight against, the tyrant king, Yharim. I hope in future updates they add him as the final boss for the entire game.
He was confirmed as the final boss a long time ago. It’s just that development is taking a long time cuz they’re an indie dev team working for free, and a lot of the team left a while back.
We’ll get him eventually though

i love the fights so much but there is now way this would go well in multiplayer lol, whoever took the agro would make the telegraphed attacks focus them and the others would get hit by the strays stuff

Pretty good fight all in all, but I think everything moves a little too fast. That combined with the high amount of visual effects, it makes the attacks appear more complicated than they really are. Still, it is a major improvement.

For some reson i don't like the Ares Face Thing. I think it detracts from the overall aesthetic of Ares abd i would rather the Eye-Bulb-Light thing be it's Face. Thanatos's desperation phase could be a bit more improved, but overall this is one of the best Boss Fights in all of Calamity. This is an Expertly Choreographed and Extremely Fun boss fight to both Play (and lose to Thanatos every single time) and Watch people not die as soon as thanatos appears.

It was not the terraprisma, and as far as i can see it is more of a relative of the weapon called "Phaseslayer". Which i've heard was removed from calamity mod in a day i never know
