- Welcome to our FlossTube channel. It’s Jenny and Nancy and we are the Bougie Stitchers. We are two sisters who took up cross stitching in 2020. We share our stitches, stories and quilts (if we remember). Today we are fortunate enough to have 50 degree weather and together for this adventure. Connection within our community is important. Usually when I have to stitch something small I take a motif from a bigger chart. Sometimes you can find nice small charts on just cross stitch magazine. I enjoy making the artist trading cards for swaps with Laura of Stitching by the Shore.

It's always great to catch up with you two and see all the projects that you've been working on. Your coffee pillow finish is so pretty and such a nice gift for your neighbor. Cleaning my sewing room is something that I have to do as well. Your trip sounds like it will be so much fun. I like a small stitch. It gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finish.

My hubby retired at the end of 2023. He's taking our travel trailer to Daytona Feb 3-15th. I'm flying down the 10-13th. We are doing 1 day 2 parks at Universal Sudios. We love Harry Potter World! You will too! I'm making a side trip to Brick City Cross Stitch. I'm almost as excited about that as I am Harry Potter!😂

I love your sisterly banter…and the stitching. I do look at large patterns to see what small ornaments can be created. I am doing the Sunshine Stitchers One Dozen Quakers but each Quaker will be an ornament not in the bigger piece. I am getting three to five ornaments done every month and having a great time. Happy and safe travels ladies.

I love to stitch small patterns from larger patterns. Sometimes, I buy larger patterns just to stitch a part of it.

Great video Ladies! I love The Potty Mouth Stitcher! Have seen all her videos and she only lives a couple of hours away from me. If lucky, maybe one I will meet her! I need to stitch a small! I am in no clubs unless you call The Fanciful Flamingo box as a club! Love the two of you and the sisterly love! Have fun at your retreat and safe travels! I, also, am not too far from Greensboro! Nancy, I will be 68 in February and happy to be alive!

I don't belong to any clubs and I've never done a smalls exchange. Maybe some day that will change. Cute finishes Jenny! Will look forward to Nancy's things next time! Great joke Nancy. I’ve only stitched one small before other than one Christmas ornament. Enjoyed as always.
I have never done a small for an exchange, as a newer stitcher I would be afraid to not measure up, but maybe in the future. Thanks for another great flosstubes.

I have to plan for vacations on logistics but not schedule every second.

Hello ladies! Enjoyed watching you today. I have been decluttering for a while now, not sure you could really tell if you walked into my house, but it feels good to me. I donate all my things to friends and thrift stores. I am on a no buy year this year too! I also live by the 1 thing in 1 thing out. I am an aida stitcher all the way. I can't see well enough to stitch on linen etc.

I have gone on very planned trips and not so planned; totally depends where I am going to, for instance, Europe, it is planned especially where I am staying, but the daily may change because of weather. I stitch a smalls, as a designated pattern. I am not at this time subscribed to any clubs. Have a great February!

I love small patterns for my dough bowl. I seem to have really enjoy a cute holiday small. Great video ladies. I have been neglecting my quilting along with Morty the Moose, I need to catch up with my snow days. I love to grab scrap bags for fabric. I need to start a scrap quilt. lol

If you want to see the whitest sand in the world on the Emerald Coast come to Pensacola (true fact). You can see a Blue Angels air show on the beach! Enjoy your trip…it sounds very exciting! I’m doing a Gingham baby quilt from Primrose Cottage.
I love your videos. Such fun to watch. Thanks for the tips on doing a small for a retreat. I will also be going to Beach Please and it is my first retreat. I am stepping out of my comfort zone and plan to bring a small.
It does not have to be complex. Most stitchers appreciate the stitch! Just know your time and effort will be appreciated!

Returned to stitching about a year ago and so much has changed. I enjoy stitching small designs and am trying to self finish them as flat folds. I don’t belong to any clubs at the moment - too many to choose from!
Always happy to see your videos post- watching you just makes me happy 😃 I am not in any clubs but would like to increase my fabric stash so may need to join. I have a set rotation that I follow. It’s a mix of small and large stitches so I have variety. I add something new in to the rotation once I finish something. Have fun in Florida

Love the Bunny egg small project. I used that fabric in blue for an Easter piece last year.
I’m curious what thread you use when lacing. And if you have a lacing tutorial suggestion. I have done small projects but have just finished a good size sampler that I want to lace before taking to frame shop. Thanks for a fun evening stitching with you. Enjoy your Florida adventures❤️😎

Have fun going to your beach retreat! I am trying to be more intentional with my stitching so I also picked 24 to focus on but I keep getting distracted by my smalls! I try to keep small stitches for in the car etc but then I want to get them finished too 😂 I need Aida projects for my morning stitches so my eyes can see what I’m doing. I am in the weeks dye work club which I love but I am going to quit signing up for stitching clubs because I get too many things I don’t love.
I’m in Billings… if you get up this way and have stitching time, it would be fun to meet!
Jenny goes to Billing once in a while. I barely go to Billings.. 🤷♀️
Love seeing that you are getting warmer weather. I haven't joined any clubs as yet. I feel like I would be like Nancy and not be to figure out how to use them. I would love to expand my crafts to include quilting but would need a beginner friendly seeing machine. Does anyone have suggestions? In planning vacations I like to plan the important stuff then be flexible with the small stuff. Enjoy the retreat.
The are cheaper Brothers out there. They are fun to start with or secondhand/thrift store also have them. Just enjoy it!

I’ve been doing it for December and January before I know what to call it lol. I’m only bringing the Quaker sal and focus on getting as much done on it as possible. I have too many WIPs and it’s causing me a bit of anxiety 🤦♀️. So I’m going to steal your intentional stitching motto.

The Florida trip sounds amazing, the retreat would be great on it’s own but add some Universal time and sightseeing for a totally wonderful adventure.
Good floss tube ! My cross stitching has kind of gone by the wayside, but I am sure I will go back someday. Quilting is my main focus right now and making things for craft shows. Have you seen the Sisterlies and now doing a Quilt Tube ? They are trying to build up the quilting tube community like the cross stitch one. I hope they succeed!

Great video!! Love all your finishes! When I pick a small, I usually pick a pattern that is small. I usually don’t break down a pattern. When we go on vacation, we are a detailed planner with flexibility. All our hotels are reserved, places we want to see are picked, then flexible once we get there. Happy stitching, ladies!

Hi ladies! I’m so happy to see you today! Love your wips and plans Jenny! I belong to a few clubs , SWTH , bee stitch me fabric, FQS Ccw floss and weeks floss each month. I used to belong to several of FQS monthly clubs but they ended and I’m waiting for the last Annie Beez snowman club from 2023 and it will be over too! I also get punch needle and primitive stitcher magazine, Just cross stitch and a few hardback books each month! Love a sweet Small stitch and since I have so many larger Mira’s, Nora’s, HAED’s etc it’s nice to have a quick stitch to break it all up! Blessings to you both until we see you again❤❤

I am in only one club through Garon Stitchery for Fox & Rabbit 40 ct. It has been nice because every other month is a neutral and the other months are more colorful. I haven't had any luck getting into any other clubs, large or small. My current club ends next month and I missed getting into their new club for the coming year. Bummer.

I’ve not participated in a small exchange. I tend to stitch large projects, trying to put a small pattern in between the large ones, instead of going from large to BAP! I don’t belong to any clubs
I am a planner in the since that I need to know dates and that hotels are booked. When we travel we normally go with my brother and his wife, but are last trip my sister in law planned for my BIL 50th and it put my ocd in turmoil. Because it was left to the last minute. My travel ocd comes from being a kid my dad would come home and tell my mom she had a hour to get ready to go away for the weekend. Not knows where we were going. So I’m a planner. I’m having trouble picking something for my smalls exchange for my upcoming treat.

Just to let you know Cathy from the Inspired Needle has a shop in Palm Coast which is also not that far up the interstate highway, you might to visit….how can you not want to go to a Stitchy store 😄😄.
