Thank you for providing this video, this made the assembly of the main stand quite easy. However, you guys in the rest of the world 😉 are lucky so far, you don't have to fasten two springs like we have to do it here in Germany. To get both fastened was a job from hell 😈, but finally I made it 👍, don't ask, how, I can't explain. I pulled with a hook and simultaneous I used a metal stick for leverage effect. Nevertheless, at the end of the day it worked and I'm now able to maintain the chain. Best regards from Germany Werner 👍😊
If you're unable to access the header bolts, you can get away with just removing the other two. That should allow you to lift the exhaust just enough to install the bolt. Great video @bulletronics, thanks for posting.
Yessir. You need to lift the pipe straight up but if you put a little muscle into it, you’ll have the clearance necessary. If you have the correct socket attachment, I’m sure that loosening those bolts on the header will make things much easier. But in a pinch, this will work
@@Bulletronics That's quite a relief, because this could have been a deal break for the purchase of the bike. On touring if the bike get's punctured the only saviour is the main stand till the tyre is fixed.
No change in ground clearance. The first thing that hits the road is footpegs, even after center stand installation, only foot pegs hits first, so no problem while cornering. But as for off roading, ground clearance will be a little less.

No. The first thing that hits the ground when cornering is the little bolts on the footpeg, even after installation, it's the same .

Yes, you can install the centerstand without any tension of scraping. I don't know why re removed center stand from GT anyways

I got mine on Ebay, from an Indian dealer. Came with all parts, including the rubber pad and two springs. (I live in the US).
