The big cruisers are our favs too, and this one's the most gorgeous version of this '64 Merc I've seen on anyone's YT builds! Lovely job, I really love the two-tone blacks.🤗 That is SHARP! (For whatever it's worth to ya, my hubby says you can always go back & hit those decal edges very carefully w/some more solvent, even a little more floor polish over it if you need to. He's more patient & got a steadier hand than me, I've seen him fix some decal nameplates, & some license plate decals that were totally curling up & 3/4 the way falling off. Best of luck).
@@TI4438 Brother your doing just fine, don't compare yourself with ANYONE and keep doing your thang man.. I'M AN IDIOT and don't have as much fun because of the way I push myself.. I truly love seeing these well done builds without All the headache, kinda makes me jealous.. Again nice job and hope you have a good one 🙂👍
You and I have the same Lazy Susan. I made a little cross on mine in the dead center. I try and line up the cross with my camera before i put the model on it so that when I spin the Lazy Susan, the car stays in the center. nice air cleaner decal. That must be a new feature from Round2 as mine didn't have one, coming from the RC2 era.
Growing up in the 60s and 70s and 80s kids like me would get a Fe w bucks and by a model and some spray paint and glue. Back then kids didn't need an adult to buy glue...That came later on...I'd spend hours and maybe days making sure it was perfect... Lots of fun...Now models cost $30+,but back then $3 or $4 would get you started 🤔
Shouldn't be impossible to lift the loose motor enough to get some glue on the mounting point (with a tooth pick or a bit of bent wire to transfer glue in there, if you don't want it to appear like excess glue). I would hate to need to remind myself every time I picked up the model that the motor could be damaged because it's loose. The 2-tone looks better than I thought it would. I'm not a big fan of either gray or black cars.
Marauder turned out great!!!! 👍🙂🏆
I'm very happy with it. Thanks.

It almost looks like those old Italian Mafia cars.😄👍
It does have a bit of a gangster look. All it needs are wide whites.

@@TI4438 what did you use for the chrome?
@@rickallen9864 chrome plating was given a Tamiya black wash and clearcoated with floor polish. Painted on chrome was decanted Tamiya silver spray.
@@TI4438 thank you very much. It's very hard now to get chrome plating done. I'm just learning to do it my self now
Looks boring on the box. I have seen it at my local hobby shop. But the finished project.... Wow!!!!
Thanks for watching. Lots of room for creativity with this kit.
