I'm taking Taekwondo right now, and I got invited to a special club called the Black Belt Club, and I get to use a bo staff and nunchucks. I've been really struggling with the bo staff, but this video managed to help me a lot. Thank you so much!

Not a beginner but very cool techniques in your video! I have a real bo & it carries a little more weight so some of those movements are a bit more challenging. Karate's bo skills are less complex but very practical in street self-defense. You not solely possess knowledge but also excellent teaching skills. Keep up the great work! HAI👊🏼
I feel like this would be very useful for protectional purposes, like if your in a threatened situation you could use anything similar to a staff, like a broom, or a thin pipe
I learned this stuff with a drum-major’s mace and I practiced with broom handles and pool cues. They are asymmetrical but you can get good speeds out of them, and you can do a waist wrap easily.
I am one away from my first-degree black belt so I’m basically training for my black belt, at least tricks really helped me improve my bo staff tricks, these really helped, and I love your videos 💓😙🥴😂
If I need a Bo staff I go out find a good straight alder or birch and cut carve fire and weight my own but yeah I like the full staff or 3/4. Staves are amazing weapons. For one almost anything can be used in a pinch for two reach for three if it’s the right material it’s good sword defense. Glad people still practice it.
I don't know if you know this or not, but if you get into a duel/fight/ whatever with a bostaff as your weapon, a cool move you can do is a rowing gesture, as if you are kayaking.
Honest I did the five of them, but expect the first trick I hardly try to spin the left side & it inspired me to do it by Shang Chi & it amazing I had those tricks ever! 🔥
Thank you for teaching our boy, Donatello.
Real
I don't have a bo staff so I just use a piece of wood that my dad uses to mix paint with lol.
I use my Dad's Grandpa stick thing
keep an eye out if you are ever near a garbage/dumster. I found a wooden window curtain rod that was 6 ft long.
Our broom broke so I use that broom stick. Planning on painting with so glow in the dark paint 😅
I was using a long brush stick and after a simple swing it snapped splintering and cut my hand so I don’t suggest using just any stick.
Im using my toy
Thank you for teaching Donnie 😌
OMG TNMT USED YOUR VIDEO IN THEIR MOVIE 😅
so.. theoretically.. I can do this with a double bladed lightsaber, right?
😈
I have a double bladed bo staff..
Y-year sure OuO

For all the people that don’t have a bow staff I just use an old broom stick LOL
Same! XD
Now thats a whole new level of screwed up.
You have a " bow staff"....do you fire arrows with your "bow" then use it as a "staff" to belt things?
NOBODY has a "bow staff" ,there is no such thing.
You must be a blonde
Or they have a bad case of autocorrect.

i'm actually training with the stick of broom, is that count?

I only know that spinning but with spinning roll on body is hard haha...I dk if that staff has s grip tape on it ..
The handroll. Should the stick be in contact with your hands or fingers?

How should you choose your bo staff size? Thank you. And great video as always. 🙂
Ninjadragon40 the length should be your height or a little longer and the width I would recommend 3 quarter inch
Fantastic
i use a metal broom stick for bowstaff and works well
