Hi, thanks! Yes I primarily use Vallejo acrylics, although for the skin I've switched to Tamiya's clear colors, which are acrylic too, but alcohol-based. They work a bit differently but for beginners Vallejo or other similar brands should work just fine. I recommend getting their Game Air box which should contain everything you need, but it can be a bit expensive, especially when you're just starting. Otherwise I can't really recommend any color in particular since it all depends on what you'll be painting, but I'd suggest some basic ones like pure red/yellow/green/blue/white/black and only buy specific colors that you think you'll need for your current project. @@alheak1 Thanks for the amazingly quick response! I'm already well acquainted with tamiya, but still in my opinion they dont work very well with the brush. Then what color should I use for the skin? According to my recollections, deck tan xf-78, ts-68 or a mix of paints is suitable for this role. Do you determine the set of paints needed for the project solely by eye, or is there any set of rules in this process?
@@sizett733 Depends a lot on the character, but for anime-style I use X-27 and X-26 mixed together, in at least a 2 to 1 ratio or even 3 to 1 or higher and apply it extremely lightly on a completely white base. Skin color looks better very light and saturated on anime-style characters, but for a more realistic style you can use darker and duller colors, but I've never painted like this yet. Also something to keep in mind, anime skin is a lot more pinkish than people expect whereas realistic skin is much more yellow. That's why I use a lot more red than orange in the mix. But yes in the end there aren't any strict rules, it's mostly a lot of color-matching and personal preference. Sorry I assumed you were a beginner about paints! Haha yeah, I try to scrape away from me as much as possible but sometimes it's not really possible. I still try to be careful by not applying too much force.
Thanks! To fill the gaps between parts I use polyester putty, it dries pretty fast (about 10-20 minutes) so you need to work fast. It's also toxic so make sure to wear a mask and avoid touching it.

Japan Auctions, but usually they are sold at events like Wonder Festival in Japan, so it's quite hard to get originals. There are also recasts like the kit in this video, but they're technically bootlegs so you're not supporting the artist if you buy from them and the quality is often poor.
It would have looked way nicer with some gold for sure. Since it was my first time trying this technique I wasn't very comfortable with doing too much but next time I'll try something more interesting!
Hi! I use whatever I can find, in this case the brand is "Protecton" and advertised as being geared towards light-duty repairs and such. Polyester putty from hobby brands like Tamiya are harder to find here and probably too expensive. This works well enough for me.
Hello! Unfortunately I didn't make the decals myself, they came with the kit itself. I do know however that if you want to try making your own decals, you will need a high resolution image of the eyes and print them on a special paper to the correct scale. You might need the help of a dedicated print shop for that though.

Either cyanoacrylate glue for the small ones or polyester putty for the big ones.

Also, you can add some gold to marble base, then it will look more naturally.

This one was from GK-m, but I'd recommend buying GKs from the artist directly instead if you can. I personally stopped buying recasts.
Love your works. I also like painting, but warhammer miniatures. Maybe i should buy airbrush sometime to paint garage kit.
