The scene with her at the baby shower and they kept popping the party poppers and she was visibly getting overwhelmed and upset was the perfect representation of the overstimulation that comes with adhd

She also wakes up late and heavily relies on coffee

I’m just watching Gilmore Girls for the second time. I’ve recently been dx’d with adhd at 46 and I can relate to her so much. My daughter is so much like Rory and is neuro spicy as well. Even our relationship is the same as Lorelei and Rory. Lol

Ha I see you're adhd brain loud and clear. Despite using grammar possibly from the use of an auto correcting keyboard, your brain saw the word diagnosed as too hard to work out quickly but easy enough to summarise into dx'd and be understood. The way our brains do this is what I am now going to call "intelligent stupidity", something that your brain spends energy on a creative out the box solution to a mildly difficult task.
I mean that is amazing, look at "dx'd" on it's own and "dexed" would be a sound I would have no idea what you mean, but with context sure, and the word diagnosed before you write it down is a word I would not be confident of the spelling (I did use voice to text for it btw) but as soon as I see it's spelling I'm like "well no shit" it is those letters in that order di-ag-nose-d I have no way of explaining it logically but yes I would also summerise the bulk of that word with an "x"
Not a dig at you at all just an adhd guilty high five, I mean look at me over explaining a simple "😂 I would have taken that dx'd shortcut too"
Do I feel stupid for summerising my own over explanation? Yes.
Am I going to remove the over explanation to save face? Normally yes, but this time no. Because I know my people will see me.

@@HelicopterShark I’m not going to lie, my adhd brain skimmed over what you wrote, only to have me go back and reread 😬🤣

@@TheSofres overestimating my ability to skim paragraphs is a constant annoyance. "Wait what? This isn't the words I expected to be here! What was this about again?"

I suspect Rory like me is on the autism spectrum, but oh yeah I have suspected Lorelai is ADHD (which my sister is diagnosed with)

I agree 100% with you! I came here to this video because I"m tired of seeing all the "Rory is the worst person on earth" videos when I know that she's autistic and so am I and does that make me an asshole?
Side note: Rory, Lorelai and Richard seem to be all on the spectrum somewhere!

As someone who is both ADHD and autistic I can completely see that I also can totally see that Paris is autistic.

@@kathreath1see my thing is Rory is in the worst in some ways for other reasons. Like the things I criticize her for aren't autistic traits they're her being a cheater I'm being really disrespectful to her mom and not a good friend. Link for one they're not intentionally ADHD are autistic this is all in fun to see the traits it's not canon. It's important to remember with real people you can being neurodivergent and an a****** just because someone's never divergent does not mean they can't be problematic. Autism and other neurodiversity can explain some things but it's not a pass. I'm not saying that you're trying to say it is I just kind of wanted to explain further
