Loved the simple and awesome recipe. We usually make this with veggies but the fish is a nice addition to it. I would add the lemon juice right ion the end though to maintain the fresh zing. Boiling it for 20 minutes reduces the flavor and also makes it a little bitter.

Why would you cook the veggie separately from the fish? Is it because we need to make the stock first or to avoid fishy smell like in our soup? Is the fish bone supposed to be removed too?

Celery leaves leave a bitter taste, when cooked. I'd recommend that you put the leaves only after you've finished cooking.

TheNeoMassacre In Greece there is no "famous Metaxa sauce for Gyros". Greeks do not use any kind of... Metaxa sauce in their Gyros. It reminds me the "Greek salad" people in the US are served with lettuce in it. Something unheard of in Greece

You're one day late with this recipe, dammit :P I had fish yesterday. Trying to get the boys in the house to eat healthier, but that's a real challenge, lol. One ate the grilled fish, the other said "oh s#@t" and went to order some burgers.
But I won't give up. I'm gonna try again next week, with this soup. I know you're a magician and they're gonna love it. Now, if I keep saying that to myself, maybe I'll believe it and it's gonna work... muahaha.
