    That's lovely.
I have an example of virtually all of those models but not in that condition.

I remember seeing this display (or a similar one) in 1964 at Northland Mall in Detroit. That memory is seared in my brain as I began my lifelong fascination with Matchbox vehicles. I have a 1963 cardboard display, but would love to have the 1964 display. The D Series boxes are my favorite also. The first model that I remember purchasing was the #33 Ford Zephyr with the spring suspension. Soon after. my dad bought me the #37 Coca-Cola Truck and #47 Ice Cream Truck.

I think I got my first Matchbox in 1963, a military ambulance. In 1965, I joined the Matchbox Collector's Club and received a button and a Ford GT (#41). Since I was living in Okinawa, I had a hard time finding Matchbox cars locally, so I ordered them from New York.

I remember these! There was one in the basement of the Local J.J. Newberry store and there was one at Santa Claus Land. I could never pass one of these displays without picking out a car.

In 1964 Australia the Matchbox cars were only 29 cents. Even though I was only 4 I remember our newsagents selling Matchbox cars right next the the sales counter.
