  • To be out at Sam Lynn Ballpark every night you've got to really love the game. From the on field entertainment before games to the empty seats during, life in the Pecos League is about embracing everything America's pastime has to offer.

    Looked him up, he played in the Frontier league for 3 seasons after this. Stopped playing in 2019. Atleast thats whats shown.

      These guys have been playing their whole life and most want to keep playing until they can't,it's addicting and their routine!

      she's going to get tired of that in her 30's. At some point these boys have to grow up and acknowledge that they aren't going to achieve their dream and they owe their family something more

      You get what you negotiate commensurate with what your skills are worth

      Som Rai it’s not really minor league. It’d the bottom level of independent baseball. Some players are paid less then that or even in some cases aren’t paid.

    Dang, 57 bucks a week? Im good.. i played semi pro soccer.. and once i hit 23.. i said i need a real job. Im better off where im at now and i love it. I guess is better than playing in the MLS.. LOL

      Mas less than that in many cases. Minimum is like $50 per week but I’ve been told sometimes they don’t get paid at all

      I know that your comment is from a few years ago, but just FYI the MLS minimum salary is $84,000 and the average salary for the league is $472,000. It's... uh... not exactly the Pecos League, that's for sure haha

    Pecos league pays even less than the Dominican Summer League (240-280USD minimum) a month. Considering the minimum wage on the DR that's, the PL's salary is absurd!

      AdrenalineJunkie the talent is pretty good but the league isn’t run very well as one guy owns all of the teams. I think Las Vegas was a travel team if I remember right.

    Play in the ibl it’s a great league lots of future and past pros great pay and they give you a job plus stands have 100 fans minimum

      Getting a second chance, being a part of a ball team after college when the affiliated route is not an option, late bloomers who were overlooked. There can be a lot of reasons. I admire these guys for not giving up on their dreams.

      @@MrJoeFlorida I agree Johnny Sins is definitely lying lmao. The video on his page is just him hitting a 70 mph fastball that he claims is 90. However I do disagree, I don’t think pro baseball is rigged. It’s extremely hard and unfair towards many but not rigged

      Sweezy_boi sometimes they don’t get paid at all.... also paying for travel, cleaning uniforms, and supplying your own equipment. Would be easy to lose a lot of money.
