Source: this is my second server-wipe and I'm still learning new stuff. Took me 5 raids to complete the easiest task in the game (Mechanics Note) because the ai were somehow zeroed in on my head and had level 5 armor for no fucking reason I hate this game so much

This is the problem with modern games, people for some reason think it's supposed to be controlled perfectly by your mouse, running and gunning with no punishment on stamina and sway. An FPS has to feel somewhat tactical, make you think where you conserve energy and where you can run and gun - some realism in gun mechanics turns off the zoomers nowadays

I wish there was a PvE only version on Tarkov. Really cool high detailed missions you and your friends could do without someone getting randomly headshot in the back of the head by a player scav or other team.

Single player Tarkov is a thing. But... they ban people for playing it lol. It even has AI PMC's.
You can do co-op PvE now but you have to get the EOD edition of Tarkov to play it, go figure

Like Tarkov or not, the fact that they have copy cats is proving that they are pushing the concepts the ideas of the market more than most. It's no longer the copy paste games of Battlefield or Call of Duty, the fact that more and more of these indie companies are jumping on the Tarkov market instead of the COD market proves that Tarkov is doing amazing things for the genre

Tarkov is the Sigmund Freud of extraction shooters. It was the first, the pioneer, but it did so many things wrong and/or weirdly that people have been inspired to take those ideas and make them better

Tarkov is kinda what world of warcraft pre 2010 was for the mmorpg genre.. people hate on it, people try to copy it, but it doesnt really matter...eventually a great alternative will arrive, but i dont see it yet

In tarkov the Recoil control skill is barely noticable because it ONLY reduces HORIZONTAL recoil. This game looks cool but the reason your recoil is higher than other people isn't because of skills, you need to learn the pattern of recoil in Tarkov. It kicks up on the first bullet a lot, then slowly goes up then your PMC slowly pulls it down.
That transition when you are talking about managing the recoil, reminded me of the spins like when I get too drunk.
I just tried this off this recommendation, and I cannot say I will be doing that again.

@@joeclooney1997also the reason why this game will fail besides the alarm bells of having to early announce a in-development that rarely plays out well. They either ask for money and deliver a bad product or none at all. Seen this a billion times now project this and project that we’ll see but I am skeptical.
Additionally, Tarkov’s clunky gun mechanics is what makes the game unique. If it’s as smooth it will become like any other arcade shooter (CoD, Siege, etc) gun play feels much better in those games but it eliminates the feeling of everything being so damn difficult. I truly think that is the one thing that Tarkov has going for itself is the non-smooth combat. (Bugs aside and there sure can be some QoL updates but generally speaking it should remain hard)

Tarkov’s gunplay also realistically makes no sense. It’s one of the most unrealistic parts of the game. No trained Operator in the world handles their rifles like the wet noodle armed idiots in that game.
But “it’s so realistic bro!!! Skill issue!!!!” For real though I’m glad people are finally catching on that the gunplay is the worst part of Tarkov and in fact they’ve only made it worse over the years. Had it since 2019 and the game has only become less fun, there’s a reason I don’t touch it anymore when there are far better games

It would arguably make more sense if you weren't a trained PMC.
If you were a Scav, which consist of civilians, some old military members and so on, then having trouble shooting a AKM, SA58, M4 would make a lot more sense since you are untrained.
Maybe this is the direction the game will go in lore-wise though. But we still have to wait another 5 years for that.
I also have to say though that, by watching channels who go down range, the recoil doesn't really seem all to unrealistic.
as much as i agree that the gunplay is very... loose (hipfire feels more controllable then ads, which makes no sense) we gotta remember that tarkov, despite trying to be realistic, it is still a game and needs to be balanced for online. they could probably make it less like a wet noodle and maybe more like hard spaghetti

It's called Incursion Red River now, changed their map to modern day Vietnam. It's out on Steam as early access title, still lacks a lot of content, but honestly if you are a casual player, or PvE player, it's quite good, hopefully devs won't abandon it.

If someone is whining about the recoil in Tarkov, it's because they either haven't played it, or they sat in a room, like a coward for 30 mins and then got killed by AI, because they have no idea what they're doing. You need to actually SHOOT the guns to realize that the recoil isn't "controlled" by your level.
RPG effects in Tarkov do matter but not nearly as much as you're making it out to be.
I think all the rgb elements are going to matter more when nikita and his minions are done with the main questline and they "release" tarkov

the armor system is what really kills it
So hear me out... if you hate armor systems but want an awesome shooter/extract game... try Hunt: Showdown. One of the best games I've ever played. There is no armor, period, for anyone. Everyone has the same amount of health, and most people will die in 1-2 bullets if you hit them right. Though it can deal less damage and need more hits if you hit like... an arm, instead of the torso, or the one bullet head shot.
The clip where the guy is using an optic with the Red Cross in the center is literally the most realistic mechanic for someone getting shot and killed in a game that I’ve ever seen. Props to whatever person or team did that.
most realistic death i seen in game was Tarkov where friend of mine peaked hallway got headshoted his head tilted backwards and full body just fell flat on the back

@@DevilDog19921 I’ve been meaning to play tarkov, I haven’t tried it yet though. Most of the CODs and battlefields are good for fast paced stuff but the death mechanics as far as getting shot aren’t that good honestly. As far as the cutscenes they get it right sometimes though

They're always dramatic and unrealistic like in CoD, they either do 180-360 spin when dying/being shot or "fly", likely that's not only for dramatic reasons or for easier acting and stunts but also it looks less intense.

The recoil reduction a players skill has really does not affect the aim that much at all. The aim is definitely decided by the mouse vs that element you said

@@ganjatheninja It reduces it by 15% max in horizontal and vertical. That really isn't that much considering how much more efficient attachments are. Its based far more on the gun you've invested in vs the stats of the gun. Give a level 1 a fully decked out M4 and give a level 60 a stock M4 and I guarantee you the level 1 is laser beaming targets much easier

I am happy to say the tarkov devs are actually really focusing on the gun play now. After 1 hot fix the game already feels 10x better. But I do understand where you are coming from tarkov is very hard to get into, but I love it now.
I been on Tarky since 2017, its been my go to main dish game for years now. It has a lot of stuff I love about it and a lot of stuff I hate. I think Tarkov DOES have some of the most RNG gunfights you'll ever see in a HC tactical shooter of its caliber and development time but at the same time, Tarkov is more than the tactical gunplay. The atmosphere, the sounds, the unease you have when you get a shit spawn that shits on the kit you brought in. Like spawning railroad on interchange as a solo with a PP19 rocking PST GZH and a kirasa armor. You know your surrounded by enemies off the jump, you don't know exactly where they will come from but theres this feeling of always being in some ones scope that makes tarkov so awesome. My first couple months playing back then I would get bush locked. Didnt know the map, didnt know the spawns, I'm hearing grenades to the right, a huge gunfight to the left, bush noises behind me. I'm fucking shook, stuck in this bush like a lil bitch LOL. Losing has the right amount of punishment. the only problem for me is the amount of RNG around the gunplay. It shrinks down the skill gap and creates this grey/chance area where on one hand, you might get a few kills you know you didn't deserve just from RNG, on the other, you might out skill your opponent, and you might even deal 400 damage to them just lacing them up to basically get shit on by the RNG in this game. The tarkov gods. The RNG gods lol. Ive always said, I would prefer Tarkov to have real real quick TTK times where getting shot matters and armor, though sometimes helpful shouldn't make people terminators. I think this kind of realism is the kind I dont want. I dont want something that takes away from skill and creates this stupid area for dumb shit to happen. I think that kind of gameplay is the exact opposite of what HC shooters are. I think they should buff all the damage of all the guns and ammo by at least 25%. but that's just me. I like my shots to count and I like my tactical advantages to be well, advantageous instead of it being a slot machine each and every gun fight. Regardless of ammo, or armor or guns, it just feels like its one big slot machine
@@terryspalding3765 completely agree, I have no idea how they would change the design of the game but it seems like it sometimes all comes down to chance. There’s a chance your gun will kick up more than normal, there’s a chance your gun may jam, with different bullets there are varying chances of armour penetration (depending on the armour.) I do know what you mean with the RNG thing. A faster time to kill is a decent approach, they also need to tweak bullets a little and nerf leg meta. It’s weird to me over half of the bullets you are able to use are virtually useless. Tier 3 armour is very accessible to you from the start of wipe, which essentially makes most ammo types useless. It all seems to come down to the big slot machine that is tarkov (as you mentioned.) I agree that it seems like at least a couple of features take away from actual player skill. I still love the game, but there are definitely a couple bugs and flawed system within the game that need fixing. And also on another note the game really needs optimising, I have decent pc and the game doesn’t run very well (at least compared to other games I play.)
The recoil in tarkov is wack. Meta guns have zero recoil. Others, like the sa58 have unusable recoil and you shoot the ceiling if you full auto it. The mcx has shit tons of horizontal recoil but no vertical. On the MP7, Instead of the recoil gradually climbing the first few shots have high recoil then it gradually goes away and starts shooting straight. Every gun has some weird bizarre recoil quirk you have to memorize.

After i moved to a very rural area in my state, and even a bit before, SPT-AKI has become something i play almost daily, with all the modding and shit you can do it’s really cool. I just hate the fact BSG looks down on people who enjoy it, it literally takes nothing away from them as many SPT players still play Tarkov Live such as myself, and you have to own a verifiably real copy of Tarkov in order to play it at all, but it is what it is. Since we’re on the subject be careful posting online about playing SPT, and NEVER post a video about it if you have mixed content of both SPT and Tarkov Live, they will find and ban you, or at least that’s what’s i’ve heard.

Yes tarkov forces you to use attachments that otherwiye would be useless. And it ends up withbolayers using unrealistic builds that would be ergonomical nightmare and heavy

This game has been on the same page for 4 years. Yeah tarkov is still technically in beta but this game is stuck on the same mission can’t bring the loot into the hideout or whatever you call it so you just redo the same mission over and over to no avail. Game would be fun if it was added to

One thing that I miss from playing Tarkov is the stellar map design. If that team does one thing right, it's designing realistic post apocalyptic maps 🎉

Recoil skills only contribute to horizontal recoil. The recoil system in tarkov is weird, but it is controllable

I promise you...your recoil ability isn't controlled by your player skill...honestly there's a few skills that upgrading makes quality of life better I complain more about the stamina/endurance than recoil control. The recoil in tarkov is burtal and takes a lot to get used to but leveling your pmc doesn't fix it. People who are lasers are lasers at level 0 recoil control. I suck but I've improved over 2 years and I'm better now with 0 recoil control than I was with like 17.
This is blatantly untrue to the core. I’ve been playing FPS for a long time and I can always have 0 recoil due to my great recoil control. However in Tarkov their recoil is so unrealistic and terrible (along with that it is your pmc skill) that my gun will just bounce all over the place. Their gunplay is not good and definitely needs fixing. Doesn’t need to be like an arcade game but definitely needs to be better on the recoil side.

this is true leveling your pmc wont change anything. recoil in tarkov is a different beast. the game forces you to use more semi auto or tap fire for most guns giving it the realism aspect. irl full auto is barely used @ifoundmemallet

Yes that 2% recoil reduction from assault rifle skills and 3% from gun mastering definitelly makes a difference
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely take a look at Quarantine as I plan on taking this wipe off from Tarkov. As a side not the recoil skill really have little to do with weapon control, recoil is controlled primarily by what attachments you have on he gun.

Still, the recoil control in Tarkov is weird. In most FPS, you need to control the recoil, whereas in Tarkov, the game does it for you and the recoil that is left is mostly random.

That’s why you use semi-automatic for 99% of your engagements and your PMC will level up to control everything better; allowing you to use full-auto in more situations. The game is designed to remove fast-twitch Esports skill and make people rely on loadouts, tactical thinking, and leveling up core skills. It is an MMORPG after all.
Recoil is easy to control if you know what your doing, if you need any proof look at any rapid fire montage and you’ll see even the bigger caliber rifles like 7.62x39 or 7.62x51 barely move

The weapon customization is what has me hooked up until now. There is just no other game with such ridiculously in-depth gun customisation/modification.

I’ve been playing Tarkov for along time. And I’ve seen the devs just drastically make it harder over the years. I thought the point of the game was to make it realistic as possible but now I think they want to make it as hard as possible.
It was way more fun at first, now the developers just try to trademark the word "unaccessible". Way too complicated and hard for what it's worth, no wonder the community has become such a toxic elitist shitshow

The amount of inflation is also crazy in this game, a few weeks after a wipe basically everyone runs western guns with top ammo. What I really liked about tarkov was, that you start out as a poor bum barely getting by and I cant see the game going that route, where players actually struggle to get ammo and guns that are good

Eh i think yea theres alot who would say its too hard. But they stop playing pretty quickly. Those of us who stay dont like it because its still far from finished, moving at a snails pace towards being finished and just feels... bad but great at the same time because the concept and base of it is great.

As someone who shoots 20,000+ rounds a year, the recoil in Tarkov makes NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER. I can shoot my pistol one handed, shooting with my pinky, with less recoil than my OPERATOR character can.
Just imagine your character is a nogun who knows everything about reloading, shooting and attachments from CZcams videos.
