Hi Granularis! Thank you! Absolutely.. I was planning to do it as the final episode (#12) on my Favourite Modules series.. but at this pace I won't get there very soon.. that's actually one of my favourite topics, compression and limiters 🙂 I can tell you that at the moment I'm not doing the final compression on the mix in VCV, rather in Reaper using either Reacomp or the SSL Native Bus Compressor. Only on some tracks (definitely on my next album); but most of the stuff I record is straight out of VCV. I have the SSL Bus Compressor on my latest ambient stream, though, I like it a lot. czcams.com/video/439wod_CrNw/video.html It just sounds better than the compressors I know in VCV. tried the Bogaudio Pressor but I honestly think that it doesn't sound very good.. if you know a good-sounding compressor in VCV, let me know! I have the ones from Frozen Wasteland in my library, I'll give it a try. Also, I just started recording a mastering series, I'm editing the first episode at the moment.. the third episode will be on compression, coming soon! It's in the works but it's not VCV-specific. I might do a quick one on compression on Patreon (for free), just like the BassMaster tutorial - I don't want to mess up the order of my Favourite Modules series here on CZcams! @@koma2000music that's great, thanks for the tips! I do my compression in Ardour when I record my hardware synths but it would be good to know how you're doing it. :)
