I have about a half ounce of nuggets that I found in California and Nevada in the states. Some were found with a Garret metal detector and some of it was found with a sluce box and pan... At 69 years old I don't do it anymore but still love watching you two...

Bought a secondhand 5000 went out to try in the Adelaide Hills and found a.3g good start for me never used a 5000 just went to learn the machine 😅

With the Avantree and Detector on and operational, try conducting a noise cancelling with the Avantree within 600mm of the coil. Normally works for me. If not, try 300mm. Good luck.

Well tough going in that heat and any gold found is in my books a great day even in that kind of heat. Just wait until the cooler days ahead then give it a crack getting a few larger nuggets. Stay safe Cheers Derek
Also, if you are using a TX and Avantree on a 7000, keep the TX tucked up the arm cover, away from the detector’s electronics. Never in the detector’s cover.

Loving your work guys. Use to get out and about prospecting but got the big C. All good with that but its made me really susceptible to heat, especially direct heat from the sun. I'm working on a big arse RV, great AC so I can get back out, maybe more dawn and dusk working, certainly nothing during the day, just relaxing and cooling off in the RV. Great show, keep it up, I'm sharing your guys journey until we can get out and do ours again!

I went out and found a few patches the other day luckily only 23 degrees and super quiet. Snagged soo many tiny bits for 1.7 grams. Great day out for victoria.

That terrain is so strange to me (East TX).
The way that the flat stones lie on the surface and cover up that powdery red soil is a wonder!
It’s as if a flood had come and the stones gently floated down on top of the silt, as the waters receded. LOL
That’s not how it happened, of course. It is also the product of wind erosion over the course of many years.
