I noticed at the heisman, I’ve known Smitty is a team guy since seeing his high school ball, he’s on and off the field a great human, he’s all for the team and does everything for his team, but you can tell he’s also a guy that deep down has real emotion for wanting to gain self success along the path of helping the team, you can tell right before they announced he won and during that he was very nervous and hopeful, but he’d never say it because he’s such a great human and a great man that he’s all about the team and the guys around him, but this award meant so much to him, well well well deserved, it’s be rigged if he didn’t win it. Love this kid and wish him all the best in his future.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I really hope the Dolphins take him, so special.
In the context of Alabama football, Devonta Smith is a God. And always will be.

What a HUMBLE young man, a very rare quality these days.
You can tell he doesn't just rely on talent. He works REALLY hard on all those routes, jukes, etc. I bet he goes to the Dolphins at #3, and then we're gonna see some fireworks from Miami. Not Super Bowl contender fireworks, but pretty cool stuff nonetheless.

One subtle thing that really stood out to me in this video is how insanely good of a down field blocker Metchie is. Dude just locked up some DBs and took them completely out of the play and led to several of those TDs. Insane discipline. Buying into the process and the team. Love that. He's up next for sure.

There is one thing that separates Devonta Smith from all other receivers in history, and Tua Tagovailoa from all other quarterbacks; the greatest throw and catch in college history that came from behind and won the National Championship in 2018. With time and downs running out Georgia was very close to winning the game and this one pass won it all! It is the same thing as Michael Jordan pulling up and hitting a buzzer beater to win a National Championship against Georgetown !

Jaylen Hurts will unfortunately overthrow Smitty by at least ten yards each and every time Smitty is wide open. You will see. Hurts is terrible if a receiver is more than 12 yards beyond the line of scrimmage! BTW, I’m a BAMA fan. I know this from seeing happen during every BAMA game Hurts played in (as well as every Oklahoma game Hurts started).

I'm so glad I watched this video. Yes the Slim Reaper broke my heart by helping the Tide beat the Buckeyes, but he deserved it. This kid is something else. His Heisman speech was incredible. I really hope Alabama truly realizes what an amazing young man they had on their football team. Man, I hope he ends up with Buffalo during his career. He's just super humble and gives all the credit to God. Most players think they the ones doing all the work, and don't even mention God for waking them up. Congrats to you Mr. Smith. If the NFL doesn't work out, trust me, God has a back up plan for you. Sure wish you were a Buckeye or even a KSU Wildcat lol. May you prosper in whatever you do!

This right here is so real, so so real. Where did Saban coach before he went back to Alabama. Miami DOLPHINS. Where did they play for the national Championship this year Miami Gardens. Where did D Smith show out and put on a record perfect, yeap Miami. He won a national championship with TUA on a last catch. TUA could have thrown that ball to anyone of his talented receiver core, but yeap, you guessed it, he throws the ball to DSmith. Wow! Where does TUA now play or was drafted a year earlier to, yeap! Miami Dolphins. Miami had an up close recruiting stage of DSmith, Coach Flores no need for a combine or official numbers when you guys had the ultimate eye test ever. Two years back to back Alabama studs. Make the pick at 3. And everything will change. These guys are winners and have an unbelievable chemistry. Not to mention this would be an epic story. Saban is already on the phone, helping DSmith with one of his properties there in Miami Florida from past coaching experience at the Miami Dolphins. Can it all be planned and if it isn’t, somewhere, someone, is sure pulling some strings. And they ain’t human. Lol
You touched on something that I think is many times lost on college football fans...... in Smith's freshman year, when he won the NC with a walk-off TD..... he competed with Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs for targets..... He had to compete with Jeudy and Ruggs his sophomore and Junior years too...... it's NOT AT ALL like he was the only receiver to throw to.... Roll Tide.
