- When you wish upon a star sometimes dreams do come true. This 21-year-old may be just as tall as Mikey Mouse but that didn't stop him from crying when they met at Disney World. Basilio Santano from Brazil lost his sight after developing Devic's disease which is similar to multiple sclerosis. Since Basilio couldn't see Mickey with his eyes he used his hands. While you can't see Basilio's face you can tell how happy he was at this very moment. #InsideEdition

Yea, I found it fascinating yet a little creepy how he responded with accurate answers and not with recorded ones. This is in Disney WORLD and it's only on the theater hall place where you can meet Mickey the Magician or Tinker Bell. It's just that Mickey that can talk, and not the other ones tho

I just got back from a trip to Disneyland. My daughter is autistic and I was a little worried about the interactions the characters would have with her. They were all perfect.
At one point she got upset that she had to wait her turn to meet chip and dale. She didn't understand she was next. She thought she was going to go with the family in front of us, when I held her back she sat on the bench and quietly held back tears. Dale held his hand up to the photographer and went over to my daughter, sat next to her and began to pet her head and hug her, making my girl giggle and lifting her mood. He then signaled her to wait right behind the photographer and after posing with the family ahead of us. The two of them played with her and got her beaming again. It really is magical.

Oswald and Mickey were actually invented by UB Iwerks, who worked for Disney at the time. Iwerks would later get into a dispute with Walt and leave to form his own cartooning company.
