    On my coats machine the rim clamp has no power from cramping from the outside all the air we'll just blow out of the bottom of the pedal when trying to clamp from the outside

    Fantastic informative video . I have 2 questions , the foot pedal valves appear to be wet with oil and on the floor below them , so when i use the machine it sprays a fog out of the machine into the air . Next do you have a video on the water and lubricant regulator unit ? Thanks i hope you can help me with those issues .

      I assume this is not on a machine bought from ourselves so I can only guess. I would start by finding the source of the oil. Perhaps the filter/regulator on the air supply into the machine? Is it adjusted incorrectly or faulty.

    I have a coats 70x-ef-3 my problem is with the bead pedal, it doesn't lock the rim and it stays loose. When I press the pedal air keeps on flowing it doesn't get pressure to lock on the wheel for wheel removal? Any suggestions

    Hi Sir, are you still working on the tyre machine? I have a problem.

  • @cotrmipraiseandworship8176

    Hi
    May you explain how the pedal switch work to turn on the motor clockwise and anticlockwise
    Thanks for your help

    • @redmountltd
      @redmountltd  Před 5 lety

      There's a reversible switch (seen towards the start of the video) that decides the direction of the motor. There are four terminals inside the switched, that are linked into pairs, in two different ways (depending on what way the pedal is pressed), that changes the direction of the current flow.

    Hello is there anyway i could contact you because i have to connect all the air hoses again because it was damaged.Problem is i dont know which one should be connected to which one.

    • @redmountltd
      @redmountltd  Před 3 lety +1

      The middle one is the supply (air in). It doesn't matter which way you plumb to the rams, but normally pedal down is ram push, pedal up, ram close. The piping is mentioned in the video, at 3min, 45.

    Hi,
    Great video. I have a Bosch TC222T tilt back tire machine and the problem I am having is that after hitting the pedal to bring the tilt arm forward, the tilt arm slams forward very hard. Additionally, the line that comes off the bottom of the ram that goes to the pedal ruptured (cracked). I was told that it could be a simple adjustment to the brass thimble fittings on the ends of the pedal. Would you be able to explain to me how to properly adjust those fittings or help me come to the conclusion that the pedal is possibly bad. Thanks in advance. I have replaced the ruptured line with 6mmX4mm polyurethane line.

      @redmountltd  Před 6 lety

      I don't know the Bosch machine, but for our own tyre changer we always adjust the speed on the exhaust (out). I suggest closing both needle valves, and slowly opening one at a time until you get the speed that suits you. If the line was cracked, the needle valves would then be playing no part in speed control (depending on where on the line they are located), as all the air would be exhausting instantaneously, maybe causing the slam that you are experiencing.

      @matthewpagano5681 Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the response. I ended up replacing the line then adjusting the foot pedal valve fitting closest to the back of the unit. I guess I can now refer to that as the exhaust port. I just turned it clockwise until it stopped, then backed it off a little past quarter turn and tightened the adjusting nut to maintain the position, and now the tilt arm is back to normal operation. I hope this message helps someone out there, because I had to dig for the answers. Bosch no longer makes tire changers, and could not provide me the owner's manual or other information pertaining to my machine.

      When the ram is going one direction (say pedal pressed), then the supply and exhaust (flow and return) is one way, put when the pedal is released, then the supply and exhaust reverse - the supply pipe becomes the exhaust and vice versa. For a double acting cylinder. You're right, though - the exhaust, for that particular direction, is set to the speed you like. Glad you got it sorted.
