I prefer good acrylic... As I find glass either heavy or fear their breakage. Storing dry items in good acrylic is Ok for me right now...

There is always the fear of breakage of glass containers especially when more than one person is handling the kitchen..glass may look attractive and food storage friendly also but should be handled with great care..may not be feasible on a daily basis..Steel may be better..It's OK if they are not microwave safe as heating in ovens itself is not very safe

Yes u r right. I use steel boxes to store leftover food and then I steam them in cooker.....older methods are always healthy, even though they may not look stylish.

nice presentation ...even I like glass containers lot .. easy to clean..but for ur information I m telling rubber lid gets useless after some time..instead of rubber lid use round lids r good... many times I just think to buy...but scare ...snacks items can't think in jar ..kids handle all this....thanks

Main bhi plastic hatana chahti hoon lekin glass jar(specially borosil jo ki bahot thin glass rehti hai) rakhna to bada headache rahega hal pal darr rehta hai glass tootne ka.better to go for steel or some other type of thick glass

Borosil is a brand which is v pricey....And wanting to store every item in those glass containers or bottles will b heavy on pocket. Also thr is a fear of mishandling & breaking. Pls suggest other option for storing pulses....
TREO brand has slightly cheaper jars, that too in rectangular shape, which is better for storage than round jars
Online everything is costly, it better u go local store,if u dnt know where to get .ask the shopkeeper who kept item in glassjar where to get dt jar,
I live in chennai, i got all glass jar from local stores only,100 ml glassware cost starting from 20 rs

I love the new stainless steel containers with a 'see-through' window or just plain steel ones. Glass containers are heavy and I will have to handle the cleaning, cannot give them to the maid😅 😅. Great organizing irrespective of the container type. ❤

I have these glass jar.. But how to clean rubber of lid.. With time it does not clean even with scrub
just take off the rubber gasket, soak in sopy Luke warm water for 10 min (for stubborn marks), rub gently and then wash with normal water.
Square or Rectangular jars are more space saving than round jars
Borosil should provide Square Glass Jars, in different sizes, for storing grains, with lids as provided in plastic dabbas. Presently they only have round jars
