Canyonlands National Park: Blake Discovers a Natural Arch Worthy of His Praise!

  • Here's something you don't often see. An episode of Mediocre where Blake doesn't complain. It's like watching an episode of Seinfeild where Kramer doesn't come flying through Jerry's door. It's weird. Everything went right on our 19 mile run through the Canyonlands Needles District and the episode suffers as a result (I guess I'm complaining now). We hit all the hot spots like Druid arch, The Joint and Cheslar park. We also never got lost and managed to run only as many miles as we predicted. In other words, I think I may have been transported to another dimension where Blake doesn't complain and everything works out on our adventures. Which means you're from the same dimension and none of this makes sense.

I tend to agree with Blake. Druid Arch is the coolest arch i've ever seen with my own eyes. The effort is worth the reward.

I hope you guys never stop your adventures until one or both of you can no longer walk. Is that too much to ask?

FANTASTIC video!! Can't believe only 84 views...there should be thousands. Nice balance of talking/showing/music. Love Canyonlands!

I love your videos! Most enjoyable channel on CZcams by far! The others I watch are for information and in the days we are living in NO information is enjoyable! Important and useful perhaps but not enjoyable. Due to an unforseen disability I am no longer able to even walk around these areas so I really enjoy these vicarious vacations that I have with you guys and I would still be able to at least have dinner with you guys at the end of one of your adventures and yes Mexican sounds great! 😂

I live about 3 hours from this. I go each year starting in mid to late-September, after enjoying the summers in Colorado. Needles District is by far my favorite of CNP.

Dude, I’m DIGGING your videos! You dudes are a blast to watch!
Love the routes and locations! I’m also geeking out on the video and audio quality on this one. What are you shooting with? Camera and mic?
    Keep the hits coming!

Thanks! The best audio comes from a Sony Handycam. We always use our phones because they're so easy to whip out quickly and capture the moment. In addition to the phones we use any combination of GoPro, Sony Handycam, Sony a6300 or A7R2, Mavic Drone or phantom drone. Sometimes we'll use a shotgun mic on one of the Sony DSLR's. Mostly what we take depends on distance, weather, and drone restrictions.

If I hadn't watched that video before my road trip, I might have skipped the Needles District because I told myself it would not be too different from Bryce Canyon. Thank you for your 9.5 rating - it made me go there and not regret a single second in this unique place. Keep up your high quality, maybe consider short collaborations with others.
