Super helpful video! I especially love that you measured the rises of the jeans! As for skinny jeans not being trendy anymore, they literally say this every few years and then they are suddenly "back in style" at some point. As you said, just wear what you love!

Such a great video Mila. So much information here. I bought the Marino this spring and am loving the. I took 5" off the bottom and had the waist taken in a little. Now they are perfect. I always just assume I will have to alter Sézane pants!

This is a long needed video for all Sezane lovers. To see how the fabric and cut behaves on a curved body, not only on very thin models.
As much as I love Sezane, I think there are a lot of other jeans brands out there and there's no need to force their cut that doesn't fit perfectly.
Thank you Mila, your video also helps when you have a straight more boyish figure as I know to try the opposite! The measurements were very helpful for that too. A “gamine” androgynous line would be cool as well, next to a curvy line, because most jeans from my perspective are pretty wide in the hips and so narrow in the waist, so sz 4-6 jeans fit in the hips but would need 2 sizes bigger for the waist which would be way too big in the hips. Low waist helps, or perhaps trying Octobre jeans like their model Lise 😅
Another great video! I haven't tried any Sezane pants yet, but I'm about to order my first Abercombie pair 😅 Also, I see a lot of people recommending high-waste jeans for curvy/hourglass body types, but like you said, it's all about your proportions!

This was SO helpful! This is a bold ask, but I was looking for a video of yours that might share a rough idea of your measurements (you don't have to say by any means). I think we are about the same size, except I am an inch shorter! I love the way you are working with your silhouette; you have found what is the most flattering and are sticking with it. I look funny in wide legs jeans as well, but I tend to buy low-rise because I can't get the ratio waist to hips right, AND I am short-waisted, so high-waisted jeans feel like they sit under my rib cage! Again, don't share anything you don't want to, I am binge watching your channel and am wondering if I missed it!

I have an issue with Sézane denim and trousers in general. I love the design so much but they’re just not figure flattering nor comfortable on me. Some of them also are super super high waist and when I sit down it’s like they hit me right on my rib cage and start to feel very restrictive and uncomfortable. I wish they made different cuts! Loved the curvy range on you, they look amazing!

Thank you for doing this comparison. I am definitely a pear shape (we have very similar measurements, same waist and my hips are 39') and I have been really nervous about their denim. I now think that the crop might be a good option. I also wanted to add: I really hate how inconsistent their sizing is!

Super helpful Mila, thanks for doing this for us. If I’m a solid 36 in the brut sexy (on me they fit like a glove) do you think I’d be a 36 in the Manu trousers? Saying that, I realise that I’m not as curvy as I thought I was through this video. Always had a gap around my waist when jeans fitted well around the hip area, but less so now post pregnancy. Levi’s 501 used to be my go to and coming to London I was introduced to AllSaints jeans which also fit well.
I’m also a solid 36 in brut but 34 works best in Manu. They run large.

I have them too (size 28) and they fit in the waist and are surprisingly baggy in the seat and thighs. Maybe I should have bought 27, not sure. But I love the dressings of them.
I've tried so many pairs. The only model that work (but aren't great) are the slim parfait. I find the bigger the waist, the bigger the legs get, which makes no sense. Thanks for all your reviews!
I tried the Brut sexy jeans and OMG trying to close the button fly was a Herculean task!! Got my usual suze. Really tight. Returned. Only pants I ever tried from Sezane.
Hi Mila!! I ordered the RON TOP and Cherry NOELIA CARDIGAN (not sure how I even got them lol)... and I opened the package and the smell coming from them is the oddest, moldy smelling smell... I have never had any smells on any of my Sezane clothing... and I have ordered ALOT! I noticed that these 2 pieces are made in China... Did you end up getting these? If so, can you tell me if you had issue with the items smelling? The Ron top was WAY worse than the Noelia...
I have 2 pairs of slim parfait in gray and denim and I love them! They are a bit baggy at the ankle and calf but it's ok and they stretch over time. I am the same size as you.
I ordered the brut sexy and was astonished at how ridiculously tight and weird they sized. I would never order them again!
I tried the straight leg new jeans in ecru and denim and they were awful. I really wish Sezane would do more for petites.
We have identical waist and hips measurements, so your reviews are very helpful! I bought the Le Crop in denim color in size 38, and it was too snug and stiff. Maybe I'll give some other Le Crop a chance, as they have added 1% elastane to the fabric.
Le crop in denim (100% cotton) was the worst pants I ever tried, maybe not as bad as a paper bag pants I tried last year (forgot the name). That one was the worst!! The elastane definitely makes a difference. I actually like the coffee one, if the waist was a little lower I’d have kept it. I hope they make a line for curvy and petite girls 🤪
I had the same experience as you with Le crop. So when they came out with the version with elastane I tried them in the new ecru and new black. It was as if Sézane decided to make them smaller because they added the elastane! They were tight around the waist and hips. Original Le crop were only tight around the hips. The fabric does feel softer and more pliable though. However because of this, they also are more prone to showing underwear lines, etc. I’d recommend sizing up one size and being cautiously optimistic but not overly hopeful.
It was annoying, as according to the size chart, 38 is my size (or at least, was my size when I bought the jeans), but when I tried it on, it was obvious that I needed size 40 (or that I needed to fast for a few days, something which I have no intention of doing...). Anyway, I gave the Le Crop in denim to my sister, so at least someone enjoys this pair. I surely hope Sezane would create the perfect pair of jeans for women who are curvy (and offer options for curvy tall, regular and petite women) @@milainnewyork

Love your videos. I also do not have jeans from Sezane. I need jeans straight from the hips to the waist, since I do not have one, haha. My biggest part is around the middle of my body. I wish I would find a brand that has 3cm more in the waist area, but is small on my non existing butt and small hips. I have to stretch all my jeans in the waist band with a special tool.

I bought nice wide legs by Karl Lagerfeld, which are really nice for curvy (as me), they also have side openings, so that you don’t need ti trim them.
Hi Mila, the Austin trousers are curve friendly but are quite high-waisted so for those with a short torso it might not work. I find them true to size. Finding trousers that fit a pear or hourglass figure I find a complete nightmare!
You’re right! They are nice because you can order a size up (for the hips) and tie the belt around the waist. ☺️
I tried them a couple of years ago in the rosewood color (jeans version), stunning! The fit wasn’t great though for what you just mentioned, if I had a longer torso, I think they would have looked nicer. Thank you for sharing, I’m sure others can benefit from this info ❤

Such useful video. I am a Sezane lover but wouldn't dream of buying jeans or pants online. I HATE buying jeans as I have difficulty finding the perfect fit. The waste is always too big for me too. However, that is where belts come in 😉
So glad you found it useful, Nette 🩷 Jeans are quite tricky indeed, no matter what our body type is. I found my perfect pair from Abercrombie and got it in a few shades. Once in a while I like to explore different styles though and of course, share it here on the channel (especially Sézane, since that’s most of my audience). Belts are great and I had to use it here with the 90’s jeans as they were falling off my body 🤣 In my case, because of my waist x hip ratio, belts only work when the pants are a couple of cm loose, more than that it looks ruched/bulky.

When it comes to jeans I really feel that I have found amazing jeans at all price points. 100% cotton is offered everywhere. I would save my money for Sézane pieces that are more special. I can’t justify the cost for their denim. I ordered and returned them. Save Sézane purchases for other pieces👌🏼💕
PS: Just bought a pair of mom jeans from H&M last week that fit me perfectly. (Am 1,57 m tall) 99% cotton of which 20% was recycled and 1% elastane. They come in different shades. Just saying.

I didn’t quite order these for myself…they’re just content for you and whoever might want to order Sézane jeans and learn more about their sizing. Lots of new people who are new to the brand and with a video like this, we can avoid many unnecessary returns. I gave up on Sézane jeans years ago! 🩷 I have 3 pairs from Levi’s but they don’t fit me right either, they all gape around the waist - I only wear Abercrombie curve love (they have an extra inch around the hips).

I have the other problem that most brands makes curvy jeans and i have a straight figure. Perhaps i should try sezane jeans 😊
Jeans are always a bit of a struggle for everyone, I feel like. No matter our body type, finding the right fit takes time. There’s a standard ratio (about 10”) for waist x hips, so if we fall a little under or over this number, they won’t fit well. If you have a more straight figure, I think Manu trousers, 90’s and the straight legs might be great options :)
