God do I envy the coordination of musicians. I can't sing and do anything at the same time. I mean, I can't sing at all, but if I'm trying to do something at the same time it's a wreck.

I was in marching band all through middle and high school...it's tough enough to march, play and hit your spots on the field exactly every time. So seeing WOTE do what they do just thrills me...I am definitely not that talented, but would love to have a fraction of their talent :-)
What we don't see is all the effort that goes into the final product that we are presented with. This kind of talent doesn't come without a huge amount of practice, and the artists will be the first to tell you this. There are three things you have to do to get "there." 1) start with practice; 2) then practice some more; 3) the final step is, perhaps, the most important, and it involves more practice. When you get "there" you will know it because muscle memory kicks in.

I was instantly addicted I can't stop watching and listening to them. I think they are incredibly talented first just to come up with the sounds for each song but then to put video with them. Some videos are very theatrical on top of the sounds they use. I love em'.

This video from 2010 shows how much G's voice has got worn out over four years from all the constant touring. Much more hoarse and scratchy now than back then. Give your larynx some rest, dude! You'll blow your voice out too soon!
I disagree man! Saw WOTE at Shepherd's Bush Empire back in April and it was the best gigs I have ever seen! In my opinion this video isn't great showing off Gianni's voice but obviously in other videos his voice is great, and yeah when I saw them a few months back he was seriously on form! So I'll have to respectfully disagree with you there :)
I'm saying this video from 2010 DOES show off G's voice as it was 4 years ago. In a lot of recent recordings I hear some roughness to his voice that wasn't there before. I've no doubt the excitement you felt at seeing WOTE live affected your perception. If there's a good recording of the April gig you were at, that would prove or disprove my point. It's not uncommon for a singer's voice to wear out over time with frequent touring.
Yeah I know what you're saying I'm just disagreeing with you. In other videos from 2010 his voice is great I just think that this particular video doesn't show his voice off that well, in my opinion he has the song in too high a key. I would agree with you in that my enjoyment of the live music would have altered my perception if I hadn't filmed a few songs on my iPhone and watched it back, and his voice still sounded really good. I haven't got it online but I'm sure that there are other live videos of their tour online which you could look at. As for constant touring, they only started their Gang Of Rhythm tour this year and I'm unaware of previous tours they've done? I'm from England though so its perfectly possible they've done tours in Canada that I've been unaware of!
Dude, the GOR tour started in 2013. They've been touring almost non-stop since the REVO album was released last year. If you've got the Internet you can keep tabs on their activities like anybody else, it's not just limited to England. They've toured all over America and Europe. Even before the big Breakout with the viral YT video from Jan. 2012, they've been on the road for years. I've been to a LOT of concerts since the 1970's, and I hear what can happen to a singer's voice from too much strain. Gianni's voice is not impervious to wear and tear is all I'm saying.
Oh fair enough my mistake I thought it started in 2014, yeah of course its not just limited to England hahah, they're a relatively recent discovery for me so I am unaware of what they have been doing the past few years, the only information I have on it is reading up about them on the internet which is where I just got my (apparently incorrect!) facts from. Fair enough mate

There is a tenderness in the vocals that usually isn't accented. This one sounded great, a little rasp, but a whole lot of heart...and right in the ZONE! never harsh, just smooooth.
