    ABOUT US
At age 50 we left our jobs, sold most of our belongings, and decided to follow our dream of international travel for seven to nine months a year. Our goal is not to visit the most countries or see the most sites in a short amount of time, but to spend several months in each county that we visit, becoming immersed in the local area. When not traveling internationally, we hope to spend time visiting various beaches, cities, and national parks across the United States. We will show not only where we are going and what we are doing, but also provide practical advice on how to travel and explore on a reasonable budget in a relaxed and leisurely manner. Follow along as we figure out how to navigate our early retirement and semi-nomadic life.

I too (an American tourist) visited the Karlskirche several years ago when they had all the scaffolding set up so I was able to get up close to the ceiling murals. The $10.00 dollar entrance fee didn't bother me too much because the frescoes are truly an amazing sight to see so closely. This wonderful experience made up for my having stayed in the flat of a resident "friend" who was an absolute jerk.

Sorry that you had to deal with a jerk! Happy that you enjoyed the frescoes! Thanks for watching.

And you won't really find Mozart's grave. Most likely he's not buried where his marker is. Exact location of grave is unknown.

That is what we learned after the fact. You are correct!

@@SlowTravelChronicles It's also not certain what Mozart died of. Probably never be known. Some disease experts think it was rheumatic fever. Others say trichinosis. It is a fact that Mozart loved pork, and meat was not inspected in those days. To have your body invaded by thousands of parasitic worms...makes me cringe like hell.
