Angelina is now 6 ft. tall in bare feet! ...and her voice continues to grow with her. I have listened to more than 3/4 of her recorded covers and originals, and this performance of an abridged version of a classic classic is so innovative, creative, and gorgeous.
The judges all went up on stage to hug her and Simon commented 'I don't think you know how good you are.' I think she knows, there is such a childlike innocence to her that is just so incredible. I believe she will stay independent, no one is going to control her.
I completely agree with you, Brenda. One thing I know about Simon s comment to her: i always noticed that, having received her gift at birth, she appears to know very well about it. And each time she welcomes the applause of her audience, she reacts like if she would say: thanks, but i m not surprised. I know I m good (like she sings it in her cover of Amy, You know I m no good), but, watch me, i could be way better and i will be. You haven t see nothing yet. It s only an opinion, a feeling.

I think you're right. As sweet and quiet as she seems she hear the music inside her. She trusts it. Her parents and family have kept a close circle around her. I don't, even by herself, think she would agree with someone's advice from a record label. She has been given the space to hear her own thoughts, to play with her friends, go to school. Her family will support and protect her.
I so happy to make this journey with you. Say what you feel and don't worry about the haters. When Angelina sets her sights on a goal, she achieves it, no matter how unlikely it may seem to others. She said she would sing on Norway's Got Talent, then the Nobel Peace Prize, and singing for Simon. Someday, far into the future, she will show the angels how it's done.

I really like Angelina and have listened to all of her songs over the past year, but I am not quite ready to say that nobody else can do this song justice. I just discovered the following video of a 17 year old girl singing the same song on a talent show 3 years ago. This video has almost 2 million views. However, I do think that for her age, Angelina has a body of work and accomplishments that cannot be matched by any other singer in the world. I'm delighted you are back to Angelina again. I was beginning to think you had deserted us. Yes, she is was 13 at this performance, as we know but it is not unnatural for the judge to be surprised.. She became 14 on 10 January 2006. The fact that she is 6ft' 1 inch in height would lead people to think she was older.
Simon Cowell was correct in saying he had never heard this version before, because Angelina rewrote it for the performance. She took the words of the lyrics she wished to use and then rearranged them, and then rearranged the music, until she was sure that both truly reflected what she wanted to achieve in her performance. I found it hauntingly beautiful.
Please don't leave it so long before you react to another Angelina performance. We all miss you.

I always love your reactions to Angelina! Of course Simon had never heard this version - it was all Angelina's. She rewrote a bit to remove negative forces, and rearranged it so that she could show, in only two minutes, what she could do, but kept the meaning of the song in honor of Freddie. It was an absolutely brilliant arrangement sung with precision and emotion.
Freddie was very sick when he wrote this and had seen many of his friends pass first. It is a very honest song.
You said you were nervous for her before you watched the performance. But, Angelina always delivers at 100%, no matter what the stage.
She changed it so tenderly, so softly . So incredibly amazing. What can I say. I am lost for words. I loved your reaction. You are so true and show your fillings . Good for you.❤❤

I follow her 6 years now, since she was 7 years old and she won Norway got talent. I listen all her covers and with her smokey , raspy voice and her emotions when she sing, all covers are better than original songs. I just love her. She is amazing now and she will be huge legend one day. This performance is stuning. Even Queen Woows her performance on Twitter. Will be mesmerizing if Angelina and Queen do this song together one day.

So wherever Simon is the mainstream audience is. If Simon gives her the exposure and support then she will be much much more popular. As evidence of this fact, none of Angelina jordan videos had even a million views but her audition for Simon has 10 MILLION views. Plus many many more reactions online.

He has done these reactions for a long time and he did not get the knowledge about Angelina through AGT ( which came out a few days ago).
There are several other Brazilian YT chamnels that reacts to Amgelina.
I have heard that the Brazilian national TV put into their news broadcast that Angelina had gotten the golden buzzer on AGT. Normally they never bring such news - and on top she is a foreign young girl..
They brought the news NOT because it was about AGT, but because it was about Angelina.
So you see she is already famous in Brazil.
The reality is that Angelina has a fan base spread all around the world, and not a singel one had started to follow her because of AGT( again that show came out only a few days ago).
There are YT reaction channels spread around the world who has posted reactions on Anglina.
It might be a mystery to you but actually there are other channels/means/ways than AGT(NBC) to spread news (or whatever) around the world. She has been guest on conserts or TV in many countries as far away as Singapore and Japan. When she was 11 years old she performed on a stage in front of 40000 people. That was in South Korea.
I am quite sure that Angelina would easily fill an arena whether that would be in Brazil, Germany or Japan.

Let me help you with a couple of examples of videos on YT.
- AJ - 7 years old - Gloomy Sunday - 4,3 million views.
- AJ - 8 years old - What a difference a day make - 9,7 millon views.
- AJ - 9 years old - I put a spell on you - 6,1 million views.
Doesn't that differ a little from what you stated...???
In total Angelina has clocked up over 1 billion (yes, BILLION) views on facebook and over 300 million views on youtube.
Angelina is already an international star so she really don't need AGT.
Well, except in the USA where she is little known.
That has to do with that USA has a self.centered culture and have little interest and knowledge about what happend elsewhere in the world.
So AGT will for sure bring Angelina a lot of exposure in USA and maybe some in the english speaking world. But you greatly overrate how AGT will expose Angelina "to the rest of the world". It is not so that the majority of the world (which is outside of USA) sit and watch american TV.
It seems like that only those people who has been promoted in USA and have had a commercial success there are important to you.
Angelina(the family) has been avoiding commercialization so far, and I really hope that she will not be a victim of that by participating at AGT.
Emerson, the video dude, is also not very enthusiastic about AGT. He also voice the concern for Angelina.
That British dude, Simon Cowell, owns the rights to the Got Talent brands (BGT-AGT). That is a business for him. He is not there for promoting talents. Instead this is a circus that cynically exploit people for commercial reasons. It is simply to get as much money out of this as possible. That is USA in a nutshell.
It is really ridiculouse how the judges overrates their own importance for Angelina's career by saying "...this will change your life..." and "...here we see the birth of a star...".
Reality is that they haven't had anything to do with bringing Angelina to where she is today. Still AGT try to take the honor for her talent. Angelina is already a star and will do totally fine without AGT.

I still remember that I was shocked in a positive way, and I have ever since that time been a fan. A fan of a child. I wouldn't believed it if you had asked me 10 years ago.
I have never been interested in the jazz music genre , but Angelina's interpretations of old jazz music classics has "opened my eyes" for that kind of music for sure, and in a way "touched me".

So much negative things are said about Simon Cowell and I've seen a lot of condescending smirks when Angelina says she's waited for 10 years to sing to him. Now this isn't specifically about You, Emerson, but I'd like to take the opportunity to say this:
She's ~4 years old and having a passion for music so strong that she like singing just as much as she likes to breath. In the evenings she watches tv with the family and it's showing the _Got Talent_ shows from different places around the world, and there are people, not just grown ups, but also young people almost her age, singing in front of Simon, and she says: Please mommy, can I go sing for Simon? Of course her mother says: No dear, you're still too young.
- So can I go to Norway's Got Talent?
- Maybe in a year or two, we'll see ....
So in the following years, this little girl dedicates several hours every day practicing her skill, she takes musical lessons as extra curricular activity in preschool and finally in her 8th year her mommy says it's ok to go to NGT. It's not Simon Cowell, but its the second best thing in her mind. We all know how it went in that competition and it stimulated her even more to follow her childhood dream. Now finally, 10 years later (one could say its all her life, because who has conscience memories from before 4 yo?), she's on the stage with Simon Cowell in the audience and she's about to sing ..... and this is when people give her a smirk and starts trash talking Simon.
I'm no big fan of Simon Cowell myself, and I think this whole idea with the _Got Talent_ franchise and to _compete_ in art is a bit weird, but I still show respect for Angelina's dream and congratulate her to finally have it fulfilled after so many years. For a child to see through all the BS, pardon the expression, in this TV show and it's desperate need for sensations, I think one need to be at least 10 - 12 years old, but at this time, Angelina has had so much interaction with great names in the music industry and learnt enough to realize, that maybe her dream is a bit hollow, but still a good way to reach out to millions of people with her longing to sing, not just as a career, but also because she simply want's to share her passion for music with other people and bring them love and happiness through her voice.
Emerson, I love your reactions man! You're just as emotional with music as I am, you react like I do. I've never met anoyone like *me* in music reactions. You're definitely the closest! Naturally I love Angelina, I'm from Norway, I fell in love with her when I happened to see her on Norway's got talent, when she was seven years old and performed "Gloomy Sunday". That performance amazed me. The next one, "Bang Bang", won me over forever. I agree with you that she's above Simon Cowel and that part of the industry, but I also recognize that "his" show made her popular in Norway. She's wanted to perform for him since she was three -3- years old. Wow, who even thinks that thought at that age? She's done it. I am happy to see he was impressed. Now she can move on... hopefully. I really look forward to her next performance, I'm sure it will be just as amazing as this one.
And she's still just a kid......the best is yet to come.

We all have the same problems with Simon. IMO Simon is there to turn a profit, and that's it. ...but for me this wasn't about Simon, this was about that little 3 year old that said she would someday sing for him, and then put in hundreds of hours of work to make that happen. This was something that was so special to watch, I can't even put it into words. Amazing, incredible, masterpiece performance aside.... this was that little girl's dream coming true. And you are correct, she is bigger than the music industry..... Angelina Jordan _IS_ music.

I think she changed the meaning of the song, not by "changing" the lyrics, but by *omitting* certain parts. E.g. "Mama, I just killed a man", which was not included. And yeah, she most probably did the rearrangement herself. And yes, I agree that she is bigger than AGT, but as far as I have understood from other commenters, she's created a new jazz CD outside of AGT and is really using AGT as a promotion channel. So, in a way, she's actually turned the tables on them. If that's true, I love it! I really hope - and think - she will do another amazing performance in the final. It's hard to predict with this kind of show, but I hope it'll be a landslide, that she blows everyone else away.

Her time has finally come to leave her folks behind and to go out and show the world her music. Although it's scary it's aching, she has got to do this. No matter what happens.

I m afraid i have to disagree strongly with you. She is 14 for God sake! She cannot, by an act of self- rigthousness and stupid selfishness and pride, leave her family and end stupidly her academic education. That would be the best evil way to destroy herself like Amy did. She is too loving and too intelligent to make such a foolish decision.

She is captivating, indefinable, and brilliant! Yes, we’ve know it, but they are being very careful as to what, and how her talent is exposed. AGT, don’t like it either, but it really exposes her to the U.S. We will see I guess how it all works out, but winning that show is not important to her career, but the exposure to this market is. We all hope she remains as she is, innocent, humble, but she has already begun to show changes if nothing other than just in the sophistication of her performances. She growing up, can’t stop that. Beautiful young lady with unlimited talent and grace.

What an amazing young lady. This was my first time hearing Angelina WOW. This will giving her another stepping stone to advance her career in music. Like you said she does not need to win. Time and time again it has been proven the winners are not always the ones who advance far after the shows. I do have one question and I do not want to sound stupid here but why does she not perform with shoes on. I went and looked at her other videos from Norway's Got Talent and no shoes. The reason I ask is about 2 years ago on Americas Got Talent was Mandy Harvey that did not wear shoes cause she was deaf and learned to fell the vibrations in the floor to keep in time with the music.

Richard Gallatin she has written a book about it. In a nutshell when she was littl she saw a little girl by the road. The child admired her shoes 👟. Seeing she had none she gave hers to her. And vowed to not wear shoes on stage till all children could have shoes to wear! Amazing heart ❤️

I agree about her being on AGT. But it will be good for her career. She is very grounded and her parents won’t let things get out of hand. Really it would be better if she loses. Because then she can do her own thing and everybody will know about her. Some of the biggest stars to come out of AGT. Have lost. They went on to be bigger stars than the people who won. She is older but still a child and they will have to continue to protect her.

Hey Emerson. I've missed you. This INCREDIBLE performance already has over 10M views on several You Tube channels. I'm glad you got into the interpretation of the song, because not enough has been said about what Angelina was attempting to say with her version. So here's my take on that, which I have posted on other reaction channels. Yes, her performance was FANTASTIC! But what she did to that song is just a AMAZING! She's only allotted a certain amount of time, so she goes through the song and selects lines that resonant the message she is trying to convey----how lost love can crush the will to live (IMO). That's a completely different theme than the original. So will other singers now cover her version? If she becomes a superstar, and I believe she will, then I think this will become known as the Angelina Jordan version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". I'm reminded of how Eva Cassidy became famous with her incredible version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", which is now the standard for that song. And coincidentally (or maybe not), that's the song playing in the background when Angelina gets the golden buzzer. I just love that kind of "coincidence". I love your devotion to Angelina, and all that you have done to promote her career. There's a lot of people jumping on the band wagon now (and that's a good thing), but you and several others have been there when she needed the support and exposure. If you have noticed, the talent recap video is the most shown video of this performance. Not AGT’s .. They did not post their own.. I think this is because Angelina hasn’t written any contract with them.. Not sure about this, but I’d like it if she dodge’em.
thats why she won't win - they cant make any money off her...her fans did not want her to do this but she always wanted to sing for simon...a 3 yr old can b impressionable. when angelina was 3 - people were saying she should enter contests. angelina said she wasn't ready.when she turned 5 she went to her mother and said i'm ready -sign me up for shows - i want to show the world my talent.i saw a video when she was talking to her mom probably between 5 and 6 but i guess her mother may have been going a little slow since she entered NGT at 7 but angelina looked at her mother and said "well , i'll call simon" it was too cute... so singing for that jerk has always been on her bucket list...AGT doesn't deserve her - i predict incredible fallout fot AGT franchise when she doesn't win..think back to haley reinhart fiasco... perfect timing to drop her album...
@@clydeatrowbridge Interesting take on the lack of a contract with AGT. That would be rare if not ever to have happened before. I doubt she's supposed to win, especially if what you say is true. Moreso is the fact that she is not yet signed to any record label from what I was told. So performing on AGT just before the release of her next album is pure genius by her family and handlers. She may not need to sign with anyone to become a huge star within the music world. But if she does sign with someone the timing of AGT, and her new release is a can't miss. And if she really doesn't win AGT, the ruckus that will spread throughout social media will make her even more popular. No matter how any of this plays out it's a huge plus for her career on the mainstream circuit. But then again I can go overboard with speculations. It's so much fun. lol
